Anyone know what the traffic is like from Vistana Resort to WDW and Universal, Sea-World? Is it hard to get around? How many lanes of traffic are there? I come from a very small town with 2 lane roads (one going one way the other going the opposite).

I find International Drive congested most of the times. You do have to watch for folks jay-walking alot too. Doesn't seem to matter when we go down it, it's always heavy. There must be a stop light at every block. I think 3 lanes each way. The congestion lets up as you get closer to the Belz outlets. We are an on-property family, but we always rent a car and go to US and sometimes Sea World, the Premier Outlets, but usually can't wait to get back on property. BTW, the traffic in WDW is getting pretty heavy over the past couple of years. But nothing like International Drive. (We even ventured out to the Florida Mall once and found a Walmart too --had to buy an extra suitcase). I live near Washington DC and find the traffic about the same as the suburbs surrounding the Metro area.

You will have NO problem.

Which Vistana Resort? If you are staying at the Sheraton Vistana Resort, you will exit the resort to the right (it's a divided highway so you can only turn right). It's 3 lanes each side but you stay to the right and turn right at the major intersection, following signs to WDW, minimal traffic. To get to Universal and Sea World, the signs leading to I-4 toward Orlando and exiting for each of those theme parks are excellent. I-4 can get very busy but take it easy and you'll be fine.

Either way, it's easier than it sounds. Just take it easy, leave room ahead of you and you'll be fine. :)

If you are staying at the Sheraton Vistana Villages, they are on I-Drive South - the QUIET portion of I-Drive. To get to Disney, you'll go south (it's a divided highway, 2 lanes each side) and follow signs for WDW (picking up the same route as you would from the original Vistana). For Sea World, you'll just go north on I-Drive and you'll see Sea World on the left before you reach the congested part of I-Drive. I don't recall the best route to Universal from there, but the front desk will tell you. I-Drive is 2 lanes each side for most of it.

thanks, I am going to print this out so I will have the directions...
