staying off property question re:tickets

I have a friend staying off property (i've only ever stayed on) and if they buy their tickets w/ their hotel package (holiday inn), can they still connect to my disney experience? how do they do that? when can they book FP's?

1. Yes.
2. They MUST have the tickets or the ticket numbers sent to them.
They would enter those numbers into their MyDisneyExperience account
(which they need to set up.)
3. As early as 30 days before each day in the parks.
(If this is a participating Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotel at Disney Springs, FP+ can be booked up to 60 cays
before the first park day.)

Keep in mind off site hotels in the Disney springs area now offer many benefits that on site hotels do including a 60 day fastpass booking window. See DIS article:
