We are going to HHN on Oct 31st. We do have park tickets for the day and a ticket for HHN (don't think it is a stay and scream....just two different tickets)

Can we and should we just stay in the park? IF we can, what do we do? Suggestions, tips and advice are greatly appreciated.

3 adults and 3 teens

There is no such thing as a "stay and scream ticket." Stay & Scream is a method. You have day tickets to Universal, and you have HHN tickets. Both are Required. To use Stay & Scream (which is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED), simply head to one of two holding areas--by Finnegan's/ROTM (more common place, often packed) or in Kidzone (less common/crowded). Do so any time between 4-515. When they close the park, you will need to stay in your area. At 545 (approx), they will let you out and walk you to either Legendary Truth (if you're by Finnegan's) or Hallow'd Past (by Kidzone).

You can wait for a different house (Hades or Catacombs) if you want; they usually open @ 6. All houses open @ 630.

I never go that late in the month but I'm certain the place will be crazy packed.Last year I went very early in the month on a non peak day closing at midnight and had very few long waits, this year I went on 10/21, a Thursday when HHN closed at 1am.We didn't get the Express pass but stayed in the Stay and Scream by Finnegans and compared to last year when we were waiting 5-10 minutes for the first 2-3 houses after we got out of Stay and Scream, this year some of them were already in the 20-25 minute range around 6:30pm.We were able to do all the houses and see both shows but even though we didn't waste any time eating or anything as we ate before going into Stay and Scream we did everything with only limited time to spare with the place closing one hour later than last year.We did do one house again but that just goes to show if you want to see all the houses, shows and scare zones you really have to be there in the S&S area to even have a chance of getting everything in,or you could just shell out the $$ for the express pass which is ridiculously expensive. It really wasn't as bad as I'm sure it'll be in the weekends at the end of the month as the longest line we did was about 45-50 minutes but we did see a couple have 75-90 minute waits posted which we skipped for later when the line did calm down some to like 45 minutes.
