Hello,

I'm coming to WDW and staying at CBR Aug 24-30 and I'm wondering what my best (short of renting a car) would be for getting to Universal. I'll be going for 2 days, but spaced out, like on Wednesday & Sunday, so I don't want to rent a car. If I have to I can try & change my dining reservations at WDW & go to Universal Thursday & Friday. But it kind of messes up my 'plan'.

I'll also have my 6 yr old son & my mom & dad (both mid 50's; so not old or anything).

I'm also wondering if it'd be more cost effective to just rent a car?? If renting a car is the cheapest route, I can do that for the 2 days.

I haven't been to Universal/AI in 3 yrs.....and with Harry Potter and my son now being 49"....I think we'll need a day & a half there.

Any ideas??

Renting a car would be the most cost effective and also give you the freedom to check out some other places, even if it's just Walmart for sodas and a bag of chips. Or you can cruise down International Drive on the way back and point out the attractions there to Mom and Pop. Just remember to add $14/day for parking at Universal to the cost of the rental.

Your biggest problem is picking up the rental. You may want to check out Enterprise, which will pick you up and bring you to the car. They also have weekend specials which could not only be less than the cost of 2 days but may let you keep to your original plan of going with a day in between.
