Staying at the Poly....finally!

My family and I have stayed at POR,AK and CBR in the past. In April, we are going down from the 9th-17th and staying at the Polynesian. DW has always dreamed of staying there so I am surprising her and my daughter by staying there. Is the Poly all it's hyped up to be? I would hate to have spent all that money and it not be as special as she has always hoped it would be. Any thoughts?

I kind of felt the same way before our October trip. Now I personally think all of the hype is perfectly correct!
We were there during a somewhat quieter time of year and we were lucky to get a beautiful room in the Raratonga building. We walked right our room and could practically jump on the monrail. The convenieince were incredible and another great thing about the Poly are the food options. We ate at them all and loved them all!
We are staying at the WL in May as the Poly was still $100.00 more per night than WL but I can already tell we are not as excited at not staying at the Poly.
I think you will love!

Port~we are also so excited about our Poly trip. I haven't stayed there since I was a teenager (I'm 37 now). My DH has never been and I've always told him it was my dream to stay there again. I worry that with all the hype I've talked to him, he doesn't end of being disappointed with it when we get there. We've always stayed at the moderates with the kids, so I really hope that the kids can enjoy the theming of the Poly just as much.

We are soooo excited to stay at the Poly in June. I let DS (12) pick the resort and that's what he picked! We visited on our last trip in 2000 and fell in love with the resort.

You are going to love the Poly! It is a beautiful resort with great dining. The landscaping is unbelievable and the views are the best on WDW property. It is also a special place for me because it's where we took all of our family vacations when I was younger.

Some people like it and some don’t. You won’t know till you go. If you like what you have seen so far than chances are you will love it but don’t worry about it.

I think you will love the Poly as much as we did, especially the restaurants.

Kona Cafe has the best coffee and awesome breakfast, lunch & dinner menus. 'Ohana is nowa "must" restaurant for us on every trip, no matter where we are staying.

DO NOT MISS the fabulous drinks at the Tambu Lounge.

You simply cannot beat the easy access to the monorail, and the landscaping, views and atmosphere are wonderful.

I've always wanted to stay in a monorail resort and we finally will (for 2 nights). We are looking forward to our big 2006 trip (14 days) when we will split time between CR and Poly. Yahoo!!

If you can, get up early one morning and snag one of the hammocks and just enjoy the sights around you...

We are having our 1st trip to the Poly in Oct. and I can't wait. We've eaten @ O'Hana's a couple of times and DH always says "I wanna stay here one day" and with the 7/4 deal, I figured - now's the time Hope you have a great trip!!!

It's (BY FAR) Disney's BEST resort. No other resort even comes close. You'll love it. Anymore, I would be disappointed if I had to stay anywhere else.
