Staying at SOG, ?? about noise above room?

We stayed there in Jan. and I do believe we were on the top floor of the new section..don't remember hearing anything nextdoor or around us since we headed out early each day. So I was wondering if we stayed on a lower floor like the same one as the laundry if the noise would be an issue. Like from above. I would not want to be directly across from laundry room...but maybe on the same floor would be nice. Anyone stayed there and did you hear noise above you?

We were there in June, very crowded time, was in old section same floor as laundry and we never heard any noise, next door or above or below, once heard people in the hallway, but not overly so - our balcony overlooked the pool and one evening many from our group went swimming late (around 11:00 PM) and the pool was very busy that night, but when we were ready to settle down for the night, it was not a problem.

the main level..so a short walk to front desk/bus stop. I wonder if the new section is quiet too. I Know the 5th floor was.

We have stayed in the new part twice, both times top floor with golf course view and it was excellent! no noise and I would get up early while family slept to sit on balcony with nothing but silence, a rare thing at Disney IMHO! Loved it!!

In the new section it is QUIET...deathly quiet!

I actually needed some white noise!

We were there this past June and stayed in the new section on the 4th floor with a golf course view. I am usually hypersensitive about noise, but I heard NOTHING!!! Not from above, not from below, not from the hall, not from outside. I did do laundry late one night (it's on the 3rd floor in the new section) and it didn't seem like any of the rooms were close enough to hear anything. SOG is very peaceful, but still a fun place to stay!
