staying at same resort as parents for dec trip

Going begining of Dec with parents,sister and her family,myself,husband and daughter-4 .My parents are paying for whole trip and they are staying at the Gf in the sugarloaf building.We have the option to stay at standard rooms in the Gf or we could go stay at the POFQ where we stayed last year when we all went and liked it very much.Do you think all the extra expense is worth it at the GF or should we save the parents some money and go POFQ?My parents don't plan to spend as much time at the parks and think that the extra expense is worth it to see each other at night but since we wont be together in the same building is it really worth it?We didn't plan on renting cars so getting from POFQ to GF wouldn't be easy.

Since your parents are willing to pay for it (assuming they can really afford it), I would all stay at GF. The GF Christmas decorations are beautiful. There are alot of couches and chairs in the main lobby and I think in each of the buildings, you could all hang out there in the evening if you want to be together. I think it would be a pain to get together if you were at POFQ.

They keep telling us its coming out of our inheratence!!! The money really isn't an issue for them but we feel like they could get another trip for themselves with taking us at the POFQ but it's all about christmas and they want to be together. They have been to the GF 2 times already this year and refuse to stay anywhere else ever again! My husband and I stayed there on our honeymoon and we enjoyed it but have also liked the POFQ.The monorail will be a big plus with our daughter but I was wondering about not having as good of a food court area with her as I remember the GF's as being more limited in choices and the food was pre-made and placed out for you to take yourself not where you go to counter and place your order. I am not sure if it is still that way.
