I am staying at POP in June. I thinking about staying in the 70's area. Has anybody stayed in that area? What did you think? Where should we stay?

Thanks,

Depends what your needs are as far as ages, parking, what you want out of your stay...

I really enjoyed the 70's section- close to food court and buses and close to Goofy's Popjets.

We are not driving so parking isn't a concern. DD is 9 and DS is 14, so I wanted something convenient and quiet. Close to all the food, buses and pool without being too close.

Thanks,

50's or 70's is your best bet, both are semi-close to the Food Court/Main Pool (60's is the main area, a bit too much traffic imo). 50's has a smaller pool as well as not being too far away from the main one, so keep that in mind :P
70's is a bit closer than 50's but lacks a small pool but it seems to be what you're looking for! Just make sure they don't stick you back in 90's, its a horrible walk.

We stayed in the 50s tramp building and it was perfect. Close to bus, food court, pool. We loved the lady and the tramp theming, it was a perfect location.

We just got back from staying in the 60's building. We were on the back end facing Epcot. We could see the top of the ball. It was quiet. Every morning my son and I took a walk to the food court for coffee. It took us no more than 5 minutes to get there.

I love the 50's, in the back facing the lake!

I love staying in the 60's section- we were close to buses, food court, pool, etc... the only drawback is that it did get a little loud at night when the night owls were swimming.

My best friend was staying in 70's- she loved it! Very quiet- so if that's of some importance, go for the 70's.

50's Tramp building facing Epcot!!! Nice and quiet, can see the fireworks at night and not to far from the main building:goodvibes

Request (because it's only a request, Disney tries yada yada yada...) Building Six, facing the lake.

I was in the 50's section. I thought this was a good location, close to the foodcourt and bus stops.

I am going back to Pop in 19 days. Last visit we stayed in 60's facing the pool and it was fun. This time I am interested in the Lake view. Does anyone know if it is a nice view? Which floor is the best view for the Lake?

Also, if my hubby is a smoker, any Lake view better for that reason?

Any help is appreciated.
:hippie:

First trip stayed 70's facing the lake. Great room, great location, nice view.

This is our view to the right. See the bldg with the big 80 on it - that is the food court/main building. If you took the small path by orange yoyo through that building you came right out at main pool.

This is our view to left and lake.

gail789: Building 5, lake view is the best location of which I'm aware (doesn't mean there aren't better requests) because there are two convenient smoking spots, about fifty feet apart.

We stayed in the 70's building & loved it. We requested a lake view room (it was very quiet). Our room was right under the "U" ("Leisure Suit" on the top of the building)on the picture that someone else posted.

I think we'll probably request that section again or possibly try the 50's since I've also heard good things.

We have stayed at POP 4 times and are planning our 5th visit this coming September. During our first visit we were in one of the farthest rooms in the 90's section. I did not do my research before that trip, and that room was soooooooooo far away from the food court and busses. It made for a long walk at the end of a long day with the little ones.

During out last three visits we have always requested and have been placed in the 70's section and have loved it there!! It is close to everything. However, for our upcoming visit, I wanted a different view and we have requested an Epcot view room in the 50's section.

POP Century is a great resort. Go and have a good time!!
