Staying at Hawthorn Suites LBV- do we need to rent a car?

My husband and I will be staying at the Hawthorn Suites at LBV. We have reserved a rental car, but thought maybe we would save money by not having a rental car.

I have a few questions...

• Is there a shuttle from Orlando Airport (MCO) to the hotel
• Is there a shuttle to Disney from the hotel- is it reliable?
• Is there a shuttle to Universal Studios?
• If we just want to go to Disney and Universal, do we really need a rental car?

I would suggest a towncar - they will do a grocery stop for you - the shuttle won't.

You can call the hotel directly - but I am fairly certain that they shuttles to any place you want to go.

the problem is that the shuttle will cost you something (I think) and that they generally leave before you want too.

I don't remember if they have a shuttle to the parks, but, when we stayed there in 2001, we had our own car. It was such a quick drive everywhere, we didn't have a problem.

Hello..shuttles are notoriously slow and unpredictable...you can spend many precious hours of your vacation waiting and riding in shuttles.....LBV is a great location to get to Disney from your hotel but it would be a very long walk.....Use your car...pay the 7 bucks to park, you will not be sorry....The price of the shuttle to and from the airport will be about 1/2 your rental for a week....
