Staying at Grand Californian help me figure out nonDisney days

Our must dos while we are in So Cal are Universal, Warner Brothers Studio tour, Santa Monica pier, Venice Beach, Walk of Fame and see the Hollywood sign. I figure Universal will be a whole day, how many more days will all this take? How is it best to split these things up? I was thinking a day for Hollywood stuff and Studio Tour And a day for the beach and Pier? Does this sound okay? Any other suggestions?

You could do the WB tour on the same day as the Hollywood stuff, I think. If I remember correctly, the tour is only a few hrs. As far as beach and pier, I would rent bikes in Santa Monica, ride down to Venice Beach, check it our, ride back and do the pier.

We did the Santa Monica pier last year and were so disappointed I highly recommend doing it before anything else so your standards aren't to high. We were all feeling pretty tired that day and there really wasn't anything to keep our attention. I hope you enjoy it more than we did.
