Staying at Disney hotel and then renting DVC for 2days .... anyone tried this?

I normally book my own flights, hotel and villas but have never rented DVC points. However there is a UK DVC board so you may get an answer there

I am doing this in Sep. 14 nights at Pop with 2 nights at the Polynesian in the middle. Everything is showing up fine on MDE - the days in question just show two hotel bookings on them.
