Staying at CSR.. Pick up car at airport/Car Care Center/Dolphin?

Call me crazy but we would like to try Magical Express when we arrive into MCO. We land around 830am and do not have anything really planned for the first day. We were thinking of picking up the car later that evening at either the CCCenter or Dolphin. Is any easier to get to from CSR or should we just get it from the airport and be done. We will be dropping off at the airport.

We rented at the Dolphin in May. It was very convenient. We just planned on being at Epcot, then walked over to the Dolphin, did the paperwork, got the keys, headed back to Epcot for the rest of the night. When we were done at Epcot, we just headed back to the Dolphin, gave the keys to the valet out in front, he drove the car around and off we went.
I would do that again in a heartbeat.

This may not be the norm but...we used DME (loved it!) last August and picked up a car a few days later at the Dolphin. We were at Epcot, an took the boat to the resort. They bring the car to you, no choosing. By the time we got back to the ASMu, we realized what a filthy, nasty car they had given us. We were only going to have it for 3 days, so I didn't take the time to make an exchange.

This year, we got a much better rate renting at the airport than the Dolphin or CCC. We also got a mid sized SUV compared to a more expensive mid sized car at the Dolphin. I would like to take DME, but I couldn't pass up that deal.

If you decide to rent at the Dolphin, check your car out before you drive away.

For some reason, the Dolphin did not come up on National's website. It's not showing up in reservations either.

I found the Dolphin on the National site. It is code ORLR13 for reservations. The WDW Car Care Center is ORLR02

The Dolphin closes down around 4ish. We reserved our car, through Alamo, for 3:00. We went over, did the paperwork, got the keys, but headed back to epcot. Didn't pick up the car until about 9:30 or so.....the woman (Melissa) at the Dolphin Rental counter said that people do that all the time.
