My neibhor told me about the construction going on at the Carribean!! We arrive in two weeks and construction noises drive us crazy. Is there any place to stay at carribean to avoid the noise? thanks a lot

The construction is going on at the main pool. That being said, CBR is a large resort. We stayed at Trinidad South and it the farthest village, about a 10 minute walk to OPR. We thought it would be too far, but we found we really enjoyed the location. If you check out Safetymom's CBR information thread, I believe it was mentioned that the villages across the lake would also be a good choice to avoid the construction noise.

Have a wonderful trip. CBR is a beautiful resort.

I was there when they were doing construction and ripping out the concrete from the pool area. Unless you were right in the area you did not hear the noise. I have pictures of the construction in the first post of the CBR FAQ. Link is listed below. You couldn't hear the construction from the villages closest to that area.

I have never seen CBR, can you tell me which villages are the furthest from the construciton, in other words if you can, can you tell me which village I should request. I would appreciate very much your advice, it is very disheartening that I have chosen a resort that is under construciton, and I doubt that I can change at this late date. We leave two weeks from today. We are seniors and have disabilities, we don't care about the pools, we just want peace and quiet and beauty. Thanks

If you follow the link to my website I have a map of the resort. You can see where the different villages are located. Unless you are right in the area I doubt you will hear any noise from the construction. The resort is still beautiful.

Well I found the map but it is too small for my old eyes to see : ) Still looking for the best village for peace and quiet from construction noise. Thanks

If you click on the map you get a larger version. Jamaica or Aruba are popular with a lot of people.
