I guess what drew me to Narcoossees to begin with is the building itself. IMHO it is a very pretty building and a place I wanted to visit. It's like a giant gazebo and I love gazebo's.

The interior of the building is also very pretty and has a beachy feel to it. I love all the windows and the shutters that are all along the exterior wall. You have a lovely view of the lake and its also a good place to view the MK fireworks and the Electric Water Parade (they pipe the music into the building).
Now the important part, the food! I think the food here is very good, they have a nice selection of steaks and seafood along with nice accompaniments if you can eat that much. I don't usual get an appetizer or dessert because I just don't have room for all that food. Just like all restaurants at WDW it is on the pricey side but no worse than The California Grill.
FYI DH and I have eaten at the California Grill several times (to give it a fair chance) and we aren't big fans. We love the views from this location but the food just doesn't really do it for us

...not sure if that has any bearing on how you may feel about Narecoossees but it may be an indicator that we may have different tastes in food? I hope not, I hope you try it and that you enjoy it as much as we have.
Pixie dust for a magical trip to WDW!
