Staying at a Resort with Sports Teams - did you have issues??

Just found out that a sports youth team (soccer) event will be staying at our hotel during our 4 day, adult girls only trip. Now I'm worried. We are traveling over labor day and have never stayed at a Value, but figured we wouldn't be in the room that much. Am I getting worried over nothing? What has your experience been with sports teams staying at your resort? Thanks!

We didn't have a sports team but did have cheerleaders and band members there for an event. Thankfully they arrived just a day before we left.

I'm sure they were all nice, they were certainly all excited and well we had a poolside room they were loud and partied well into the night. They smoked in non-smoking areas (butts everywhere the next morning). We were glad to leave once they arrived.

All of that said - I think you'll be fine if you're not poolside since that seemed to be where they were concentrated.

stay at sports when a baseball team was there. (got the room for a discount because one team did not show up).

they were very nice. Disney put me in a quiet area near the pool.

We stayed when there were collage cheerleaders at ASSp - a nightmare! They were out on the fields in between buildings cheering half the night, then running up and down the hallways banging on doors. Security said "Wait until Pleasure Island busses stop coming around 3:30 and it should quiet down". Really? Good solution.

We chaperoned our sons band trip and the kids were very well behaved. Each adult was responsible for 5 kids, so we had the wild animals pretty well in hand If the soccer team is well supervised, you shouldn't have any problems.

I have stayed at a value too many times to count with The Dreaded Pop Warner and have NEVER had an issue and I am by no means Child Friendly. Have stayed at CBR with college cheerleaders 3x, again, no issues. YMMV.

As for a TOP FLOOR room NOT facing a pool and it will be more quiet.
