For one of the first times, we have a trip booked during moonlight magic in the fall for a family camping trip we have planned for a year at Fort Wilderness. If I am the person on the head of the reservation staying with a total group of 5, I was wondering if I would be invited to MM considering it is not at a DVC resort (considering it is in the middle of our week stay). Also, how many people is MM good for if I do qualify? 3 of the 5 of us are DVC members. Thanks everyone!

All Disney owned & operated resorts at WDW and Vero Beach are considered on-site for the priority booking window.

If staying at a Disney owned & operated resort, you can register for number of people listed on your reservation.

In the past, the reservation needed to exist 5 days before start of the booking window or something like that. I went to MK MM while staying at a regular Disney hotel in 2018.

Yes, but call ahead to make sure Member Services has your cash hotel reservation linked to your DVC account. Even then, if it doesn't pull up automatically during the online queue process, be prepared to call Member Services and complain.

Other than that, it's not a problem at all.

I can vouch for this!! My first MM in 2018 I happened to be staying off site and was able to register no problem (no invite no call ahead). This year I expected it to be the same and was not able to get in on the first MM reservation release day. When I called member services they told me I should have called ahead to "Link" my reservation. Lesson learned.
