we will be there for a dance competition, staying four nights, and will probably never leave the venue. I want a case of water and snacks. We will be flying, and taking a taxi or car service to the hotel. We've used garden grocer in the past, but we're on Disney property, and I hear they are no longer servicing offsite properties. Beer for DH is also a plus.

I was reading some reviews, and it appears that they charge a package fee based on weight at the hotel. I think plan b is a grocery stop with the car service. Food appears to be very expensive, and I have one with celiac, which limits options.

A lot of car services include a 30-minute grocery stop. I'd definitely use one of those services since you need a car service anyway.

What about an Uber? My DD just got back and they used Uber all the time and said it was great. The cost wasn't much so they were able to use it all the time to avoid the shuttles from their hotel.

We use uber here at home to go to the airport. I wasn't sure how to schedule a grocery stop, since it's a flat fee. If we plan on leaving the hotel for any reason, we plan on using uber.

we go shop.com is what we use for condo stocking for a week-this is good for meats/fruits etc
amazon pantry is another option-for beverages/snacks. They don't have fresh items though.
car services will give 30 minute stops at grocers.
A 1 day rental car would work too.

How about taking filtered bottles for water and packing some snacks in your luggage? Four nights isn't that long that you'll need all that much and if you have refillable bottles, no need for a case of water.

By the way, we stayed the Marriott's World Center about 10 years ago for a week. We liked it very much. Enjoy!

We stayed there in April pre-cruise and it ended up being cheaper for us to do a one day car rental and return it at the resort. I can't remember which agency is at the resort but I'm pretty sure it's Hertz. Also to avoid parking fees if you arrive when no one is at the rental office, just return the car to the valet and tell them you are returning the rental.

There is a CVS right outside the entrance! I stayed at Sabal Palms a few years ago. You could do a stop there really quick.

I would never take drinks in my luggage.

A car service can schedule a short grocery stop. There is Target on the way from the airport.

Have you looked into Sabal Palms, Royal Palms, or Imperial Palms? They have free parking. I was there 2 weeks so had a car. Walmart is also around the corner.

I stayed there this winter, it was amazing! we used Uber to get around and there were a lot of restaurants and shops very close by.

Posters on the Universal board have been using Orlando Grocery Express. You may want to check them out.

We are also attending the dance competition at the World Center Marriott but are renting a car. I cannot deal being stuck at the hotel trying to get food with the hordes. And my husband will use any excuse to get away from the competition. We have a list of places he will be picking food up from.

Lots of great advice. I'm deciding between the grocery stop and the one day car rental. Does Target sell beer in Florida? We have to stay in a block hotel, and I could probably sell my reservation for a $500 profit, so many want to stay here. We prefer to bring bottled water, since we go through so much. The venue usually provides water, but I'm convinced people get sick at these competitions because people refill directly from the spigot.

Trying not to have to check luggage, and since fruit is a must, and cheese, we will have to get groceries there, so would rather not pack much. One of my girls has celiac, so eating out can be a challenge (and expensive, no pizza or nuggets for her).

Rachelsmom, we can't seem to ever manage to leave. There usually isn't time to go out before recalls, and even if my girls aren't at the end of sets, one of their friends will be, and then there isn't a whole lot of time before awards. Husbands are always free to go!

I would also make sure you can get a refrigerator. They have a mini bar - but I have heard conflicting stories as to whether you can take the items out. You can request a refrigerator ($15 per stay, I think) but I am sure those will go quickly. We are not arriving until the 3rd so we will pick up a Styrofoam cooler.

You are right that it is very hard to leave. But my husband usually is not in the venue unless my daughter is dancing - so he is great for all the food runs and other things we need done.

I'm going to call ahead, we arrive on the 30th. I'm now leaning on renting a car, at least for the day. I believe they have a special parking rate for the far away parking? I'll do the math.

Is Garden Grocer no longer delivering to Disney resorts? We have an OKW stay in a couple weeks.

They had a popup banner on their site for a while earlier in the year that said due to roadwork on I-4 (I think) they have limited their delivery to only Disney resorts.

Update - another family ended up being able to move their reservation to the convention center at the last minute, so we shared a van from trinity, which stopped at a publix.
