Staybridge Suites LBV vs Sheraton Vistana Resort

We have an upcoming reservation starting THIS Saturday at the Staybridge Suites LBV in a 2BR suite. It's a decent rate and includes daily breakfast if we wish. I have looked and can get a Mousesavers No Housekeeping Rate at the Sheraton Vistana 2BR for about $200 less for the week. The Vistana is a prepaid rate but since the trip is so soon that's not really an issue. I like the Vistana because it has a washer and dryer in the villa. The SS LBV has a guest laundry near the pool so not as convenient. I know Vistana is a HUGE resort and the Staybridge is MUCH smaller.

For those of you who may have stayed at both, would switching to the Vistana be worth saving the $200?

Have stayed at both, like them both, will return to both.

I think it's really more about what you are looking for in your lodging.

SBS are newly renovated, look nice, but they are a 2 bedroom hotel room. You will have no balcony or porch, you will have a partial kitchen (I don't think there are ovens), your dining/living space is basic. SVR will have a nice full kitchen, porch or balcony, laundry, dining area with table and chairs, nice size living room and large bedrooms. It's a space one could actually live in.

SBS breakfast is a good one, one of the better ones. For other dining you have restaurants nearby you could drive to in a minute or so or even walk. SVR has some dining options there on property, would be a farther drive to get out to the restaurants. You can cook in both.

SBS has a nice pool but it's small and basic. We only uses to dip and cool off. SVR pools are large with slides, hot tubs and amenities around them. If you want pool time they will be much nicer but could also be a farther walk depending on your condo location. SVR will also have more activities and things to do as it's a timeshare resort.

SBS feels like a hotel, SVR feels like an apartment complex.
