Just returned from a 9day/8night(02/20-02/28/04) stay at this resort.

Check in- We arrived to the hotel @3:00p.m.. I had called before and requested if possible the room could be ready by 3:00p.m. We arrived and it was not. No problem we could wait for 1 hour. Well 4:00p.m. came and went and the room was still not ready. There were several other people who had been waiting even longer. Finally @ 4:50 the room was ready and off we went.

The Rooms- We stayed in a 2 bedroom(1 room with 2 double beds and restroom and the other room with a king bed and it's own restroom. There was a full kitchen with plates and silverware and pots and pans. There was a queen sofa bed. Also there was a TV in everyroom as well as a phone in each room. In all the roooms were great! Maid service was great and never had any issues. There was a also a clock radio in each room with a CD player.

Pool- Never used it but it was heated.

Free breakfest-Ok, nothing sepcial just to get you through the morning.

Transportation-The service was very good. We shared with 3 other hotels but not a problem. There were several pick up times and drop off times to the hotel. I have the bus schedule if anyone needs it.

LOCATION,LOCATION-There were several stores and places to eat in and around the hotel. I would say it's less then a mile to the enterance to Disney.

I paid $119.00 per night with the entertainment card.

If anyone, has any questions please feel free to ask.

We've stayed at the Mainstay for the past 2 years.....it sounds a lot like the Staybridge. We actually just had a Staybridge open near where I live, it looks very nice....but then again it's brand new. Mainstay also has a breakfast....it's good and better than most free breakfast I've had at other hotels. Glad that the hotel worked out for you....even with the delay in check in :)

I have a question about the Staybridge for you! In particular the 2 BR Suite. Are the 2 bedrooms near each other or on opposite ends of the suite? We have 11 people going and are considering getting two 2BR suites where we would have 2 families in each suite and I haven't been able to find the layout of the suite. I just want to make sure that we have our own space and privacy if we end up sharing a suite. The other we are considering is Quality Suites which seem to have a pretty good layout.

Thanks for the information!! Sandra

They are at oppsite ends of the suite. You can call the hotel and they can send you a layout of the suite. I called and they sent me one. Any more questions, please feel free to ask.

sounds like they didn't change it very much since the Summerfield Suites turnover. This is a good thing!

I was so glad to read your note. I remembered writing to you and I am so glad that your trip went well. It seems as if you were very pleased with Staybridge, as we were. Glad to hear that you had a good experience! Take Care....

Memory is failing me here. We've stayed at the Summerfield LBV in the past. Going back again this year (realize it's now Staybridge) Here's my question. Do all or most of the rooms face the pool? Have you been able to request a room like that with any success, or do you just "get what you get."

Del, thanks so much for remembering me! Thanks to you I gave Staybridge a chance and it was great. We are going back in the summer and will staying at Staybridge once again. They even had great bus transportation to the parks.

WICRUIZER- Many of the rooms do face the pool area(by the way the pool is great). I did not request a pool view and we were placed in one. I guess you could request a pool view if you wanted one.

So transportation is pretty good? At least a couple return trips to hotel in the afternoon?

We are looking for an offsite hotel that offers us a little elbow room (2 adults, 1 5 yo). Transportation and of course the pool are big considerations for us.

There were several pick up/ drop off times to and from the parks. I called and the hotel faxed me a bus schedule before our trip. I think you would really enjoy this resort. Any questions, feel free to ask.

I am booked there 6/25-6/29. Can anyone tell me if there is an oven in the room or just a stovetop? Thanks!

Can anyone tell me about the pool area?

Also. someone mentioned Mainstay Suites...can you tell me about the pool area there?
