It's just come up on the news about a man being arrested after trying to enter one of the resort hotels with two concealed handguns.

Not seen the full story yet but just wanted to pass on the info for anyone who might want to contact people who are visiting to make sure everyone is fine.

The news is reporting this was at the Hotel New York. I didn't know they had x-ray machines in the hotels.

When i went to newport bay last month they had x ray machines.
But when i went to cheyenne this month they didnt have x ray machines.

Assuming things haven't changed, then this will be the bag check just outside the village near HNY.

Although the photo I've seen looks like its out the front of the hotel rather than the back near the lake.

they have bag check x-ray outside HNY SQL and NPB as you enter them... only Cheyenne and Santa Fe dont have them... and then you have another check points when you enter Disney Village...

really scary story but glad they have cached him ...

Something smells rather fishy in this story. Why would anyone carry the Coran with him if he is not Muslim? Why carry guns with you in place that the security is high? Could this be just an act to avert people from visiting the parks by creating fear and in extend hit Disney economical?

Thank goodness they caught him. I am dreading the idea of what could have happened if this did really happened!

Thank goodness they caught him. I am dreading the idea of what could have happened if this did really happened!

A- He wasn't carrying a Coran but a book in French about understanding the Coran which a lot of people are buying nowadays to understand Islam and it's place in France.

B - The 2 hand guns were in a bag which was in his case with the ammo separate again in his case

C - He placed his bag himself on the scanner and when the guns showed up didn't resist in any way park security and waited for the police to arrive.

D - The Anti terrorist divisons are not deal with this affair and have now ruled out any connections to terrorism. It is a matter for the ordinary police to deal with.

And now that we know the situation I'm closing the thread before we get political or xenophobic or get into religious issues etc
