Stay Play and Dine Ticket and Upgrade to AP Renewal

Is it possible to use the ticket from the Stay Play Dine package (2 adults, Caribbean Beach) and apply it to my Annual Pass renewal? The dates we'd stay is Dec 13 -18 and our AP renewal date is Dec 8. How would it work?
1.) The entire package ticket amount is applied to renewal.
2.) Have to use the package ticket for "x" amount of days before remaining amount is applied.
3.) This a REALLY bad idea and I should use room only AP discount and renew the AP at full price.

Any tips would be wonderful!

I'm not positive how that would work with the new ticket black out dates and options. I'd call Disney directly.
