I am a penny pincher, always looking for a way to save money. Well last year I gave into my own wish/desire (as well as my Dh and boys’) and stay at the Disneyland Hotel. We stayed for 3 nights and had so much fun. Here it is almost a year later and my boys still talk about it and are asking to go back. I have to admit as much as it kills me to pay that much, the memories it gave my boys is more then it.

What is the longest stay (consecutive days) you have stayed at one of the DLR hotels

Never even once.

How old are your boys? What types of great memories do they have from the hotel?

We stayed at the PP for 7 nights over Christmas. My son loves it there... The whole feel is great to him! We have also stayed 3 nights at the PP concierge level, then moved over to the GCH for 4 nights. DS still prefers the PP. He digs the pool area!:lmao:

7 nights over Christmas for us as well. 6 nights previously in October. Won't ever do that long stay at PP again, but love the GCH and DLH.

5 nights at the GCH was the most. For the DLH 4 nights was the most. We love staying onsite, I agree that it creates some special memories. But we can't always afford it for as often as we like to go.

Well we have never done a DLR but we know why you liked it so much because we have done WDWR many times. We only live 1 hour away from DL, but I see myself booking a stay in the near future.

I remember just walking the DLH grounds as a kid during my first stay - what a paradise that place was even back then! Amazing!!!

The most we have stayed was 3 nights, usually just 2 nights. My kids love it. Their favorite is "camp hotel" GCH, I think they just like the bunkbeds :rotfl:

Are the bunk beds pretty safe - railings?? We were booked in one but I had it changed to a second queen (paranoid DD would insist on the top and fall out.)

Yes! They are totally safe! The railings are bolted on, and they are higher then normal.

PP in January for 4 nights, we really liked it!
GCH in November for 3 nights.....it was our absolute favorite!! DTD view and bunkbeds for the girls. They loved those beds and they were very safe.

7 nights and 8 days at DLH and it was the most relaxing and fun trip yet. We got to enjoy the hotel and its ammenities and ride our favorite rides multiple times.

Hi Mrs. Bee,

My two boys are 5 and 10. It was our first on site stay. All the other years we have stayed with family members. So it was nice to wake up early visit the park, then midday we would go back over to the hotel and the boys would go swimming (they LOVED Neverland pool... along w/ the slides) take a nap and we would go back to the park in the evening and stay til closing. They enjoyed walking around the hotel and having Disney all around. We booked a standard room and where givin a "view" room (Downtown Disney). This is my favorite memory, we would leave the slider open along with the curtains and wake up look out and see the Matterhorn. Our just being up in our room listening to the music from DTD.
This trip was the most memorable trip we have ever had.

Sounds like a great trip.
Could you hear the DTD music all the time? Or just if the window was open?
