I need some help with staterooms. I'm on a budget so I will be booking a Cat 10 or 11. Can anyone give me their favorite stateroom? Our last cruise we were Deck 2 Aft but I cannot remember stateroom number. The sea was calm so I felt very little motion while sleeping. Someone told me the lower the better and try to request a stateroom at mid-ship. Anyone agree or disagree with this logic? After having our 2nd child I get very motion sick now! What's up with that, I know!!!

Thanks for your help,
Ethelina

My favorite Category 10's are the Secret Porthole Rooms, #5020, 5022, 5024, 5520, 5522, & 5524. These cabins are sold as inside, Cat. 10 cabins but are actually outside cabins that have partially obstructed portholes. It's like getting a view for free. Cabins #5520 & 5020 have the least obstruction and are not connectors so I'd go for one of those if they are available.

We're suppose to be in 1 of the SPRs for the 11/30 cruise. That's another of my concerns. If they cancel the cruise what's the chances of getting 1 of these again?

i would also suggest that u go cat 10 if , we have on 2 cruises...

We have been in both cat. 10 and cat. 11.

Cat. 10 is the way to go because of the extra bath space. We were in 7509 on the Magic last year.

We have cruised twice, each time a cat. 11. The four of us, 2 adults 2 kids (11, 3) were quite comfortable. However, we were doing things as cheaply as possible. You'd have to compare the savings and see if the split bath is worth it.....how many in your party? If just 2 adults, the extra bath might not be necessary. But if you have older kids, the split bath may be worth the extra $$.

One thing I hear over and over again........if you cruise a higher category, it's almost impossible to go to a lower category due to how nice they are..............Someday, we may find out if that is true!:p

Thanks for the tips on the cabins!! Sounds like SPR's are nice if you're on the "budget". I know we stayed the first time on-site property Wilderness Lodge and now I don't think I could try another resort. It does spoil you on comfort.

Thanks again,
Ethelina
