We used Starz two weeks ago because they gave us the lowest quote. I'm not sure I would recommend them. They were ok and it was fabulous to be picked up curbside and taken right to the hotel, with soft drinks for the kids and champagne for me and my husband. The positives: The driver texted me that morning to say she would be standing by and to call when we got our bags. She texted again to say she was there and ready when we landed, and I called her to come get us as soon as we picked up our bags from baggage claim. She showed up within 5 minutes. She helped with the bags and was great. Guy who brought us back helped with the bags, too, and was also very nice.
Negatives:
1. The e-mail quoted me $85. from SNA to Grand Californian. When I called, the operator said, "Nope, that's wrong, it's $90."
2. They stated that they added $20. (approx 20%) for gratuity up front. When I got the bill it was $114., and I asked the driver about gratuity; she said "They give us 5%, it's up to you if you'd like to add more." This didn't jive with what I was originally told.
3. They quoted us that price for the Chrysler M300, and there are pictures of it, both exterior and interior, on the website. However, we did not get that vehicle. Ours was nice, but not as nice as the pictures.
4. I asked for champagne, and that came free with it, but it turns out you'd better specify what you want, because otherwise you'll get whatever they have around. There was a bottle of Andre champagne (cheap, but hey-- we got to take the rest with us into the hotel) pepsi and diet pepsi, and bottled water. There was hardly any ice in the ice wells where the drinks are, and no covered ice bucket, which would have been handy because there was also a decanter of bourbon and one of gin.
On the way back to the airport, there wasn't any champagne--I hadn't asked for it. There was even less ice, and when I scrabbled in it to get some out for our glasses, I saw a twist tie or something in there, so it obviously wasn't really clean. Yuck.
5. The day we went back to the airport, the chauffer called me about half an hour before he was supposed to show up. He had a rather thick accent, and the cell phone kept cutting out, so it was very hard to understand him, but after several cut-off calls I finally understood him to say that his GPS was broken, and he wasn't sure how to get to the GCH-- he told me his location and asked for directions. I was like, "EXCUSE ME? I don't live here, I don't know how to get here from where you are!" He hung up on me. I called the limo office in a panic, and the operator apologized profusely and said they'd straightened him out and he'd be there shortly. When he showed up (right on time) he was very apologetic.
So while it was a really nice and fun surprise for my family, and I greatly enjoyed relaxing in the limo, I would not say that Starz lived up to my expectations.
