Starwood pts?

We will be staying at the dolphin for 7 nights with 3 rooms booked. My question is will I be able to accumulate pts during this stay? I have no points at the present and was just wondering. One more ? how many pts do you get per night and how many do you need for a free night? Well 2 ?'s Thanks

I would assume you could accumulate points presuming that they have your Starwood number linked to your reservation. I believe one free night requires 10,000 points at the Dolphin, but they change this every once in a while, so check the spg.com web site.

Yep, you generally need 10,000 points for a free night at Swan or Dolphin.

As a regular Starwood member, you earn 1 point per $1 spent at a Starwood location (this includes room and food but NOT tax).

It is a 1 point per $1 and Starwood sometimes offers bonus points for booking online. We have never used our points at Disney but have earned enough for a $50 AVIS gift certificate that we used for our last Disney trip. We also had enough for a free night at a local Westin. So it is useful.
