Hi all; needing help from you all in making a decision on one meal.

We currently have a reservation for Kouzzina for dinner one night, after a day at MK.... but I am starting to think the menu is a little limited in terms of what our family would enjoy, and I am not sure we want to keep this reservation. I am a huge Cat Cora fan, and was excited when she opened, but will we like it? We love greek food, so that isnt a problem... but I guess I see so many mixed reviews that it is making me nervous!

Should I have a back up plan?

The other restaurants we are eating at over the week are:
Whispering Canyon
Chef Mickeys Dinner
The Wave
Le Cellier
Chefs de France
Ohana's Breakfast
Tepan Edo

Are we missing something that is a "Do not miss"? Keep in mind we are travelling with a set of 3 year old twins, and my mother who is a foodie but who doesnt eat seafood.

What about Maya Grill? How is it there???

When I called to make ADRs, I asked MS about Kouzina as I have two dds(8,5) who can be picky eaters. From that conversation, I decided to reserve Captain's Grille over in Boardwalk area.

As for other suggestions, you will get 6 of this and 1/2 dozen of that. If I am the theme park, since mine are old enough now, I don't want to leave as we would lose too much travel time. Thus, we will eat a TS in the park so that we can rest, eat, and have character time as well. At MK, we go with CRT or CP.

I would skip Kouzzina. It was not a good experience. :sad2:

I would highly recommend Sanaa. It's in the same price range as Kouzzina, has fantastic food and good service. The decor is really awesome, and you get to watch the animals on the savannah while you eat, which will help keep the kids entertained. While the adult menu is exotic to some people, the kids menu has your basic pizza/ mac n cheese kind of stuff.

We ate there on our last trip, have a dd4,dd mos, myself and my wife. We found the menu very limited my wife didnt care for any part of the meal, mine was ok and we usually try to stay away from nuggets and fries for every single meal for dd but there wasnt many options for her either. The boardwalk bakery saved the night though.

Based on what I heard on the boards, I just changed my ressie from Kouzzina to Jiko.

Doesn't seem like they have all of the kinks out yet.

Just to balance it out, we absolutely adored Kouzzina, it was one of the best meals we had. There's a review in my signature.

Thanks all! It was TillyMarigold's review that convinced me that we would leave our reservation as planned. The desert in her review is my ALL TIME FAVORITE DESERT in the world and the food looked much better than what I "imagined" from people's feedback.

We have been to Greece, and love the food... and our kids are actually quite big fans of it as well. (In fact I think I will save a kids DP credit that night and have them split the Pastitsio since we order this at home often and they love it)

I was just getting nervous that there wouldnt be enough choice on the menu (I was hoping they would have Moussaka on the menu, but dont!) but I am sure it will be just fine.

Thank you SO much for everyone's imput. I had made a cautionary reservation at Maya Grille last night, but have since cancelled it now that I have made the decision to stay at Kouzzina.

:O)

You will always see good and bad We just look at a few reviews and still try for ourselves. You never know it could be great!!

DW is a very picky meat & potatoes person, I'm a foodie and like to try all kinds of things. DW thought Kouzinna was good, I was underwhelmed. Go figure.:confused3

We went to Kouzzina last Aug when it was having its soft opening and it was really great. We will be going back in Aug. Our daughter is a fussy eater and loved the lasagna that is on the menu and the greek salad.

We ate there last week and consider it the best meal of our trip. DH had the pork t-bone and I had the seafood stew. The kid's choices were fine. 2 of mine had pizza (which looked really good) with 2 sides and the other had greek lasagne which came with a soup appetizer and sides as well. The dessert was amazing. I had the Greek donuts. OMG!!!! I also enjoyed the coffee which came in a french press.

my bf and i absolutely loved kouzzina..it was one of our fave meals this past january trip! we will be going back to kouzzina in may :)
