Starting to Plan - Some General Advice Appreciated!

Hello! DS (12yo) and I are heading to FL, flying into SFB October 9th evening. We have to be in Jacksonville/Neptune Beach either late Friday night (OCt 10th) or Saturday (Oct 11th). I am thinking of staying @ a Universal resort Thrs. Oct 9th, doing UO/IOA all day Friday and then heading up to JAX either Friday night or Saturday.

So, couple of questions: 1) How busy should I expect the Parks during this time? I notice there is a Halloween Horror Night October 10th, does this impact crowds during the day, and is it only at 1 park or both? 2) Recommendations on staying onsite, possibly looking at APH rate, vs. other ticketing options? 3) Possibility of doing both Parks - either 1 day or maybe all day Friday and part of Saturday? We have been before, once, but want to check out the new 'combo' HPotter offerings. 4) Any other recommendations/considerations? TIA!!!

I'd stay onsite at one of the deluxes so you get the unlimited express pass. Get a two park pass so you can ride the Hogwarts Express and you'll have a blast!

HHN is only at the studios. It will close very early limiting your time at the park. Check out the park hours to help you with your planning.
