Started at the mother land and came to the DARKSIDE

Ok here is part one of my TR .

We leave our nice home on Thursday July 24 th at around 11 PM. With the kids in the car the house all locked up and the van packed we were off . .

We drove all night with DH sleeping all day this worked out really well . This is until I get really sick in the car and have to stop a few times to use the ladies room . So I feel yuckie and we need to get to Georgia because our room is booked there. We did make it to Georgia and almost all the way to FLA. before 2 PM on Friday .

Stop over in GA .. Off to the Mother land in the morning ....

WE check into WDW around 2 ish .. It may have been earlier or later I just forget. Our room is ready and we have to get a few things together . We get to our family suite at the ALL Star Music wth a pool view . I was slightly worried about noise ( We never had any problem) . Off to DTD and Disney Quest . This was our first visit there and well my kids LOVED it and we didn't leave there till well after 9 PM . We went in and it was light out we came out to night time ... Needless to say Video game junkies should not visit this place . It is like visiting a bar for a drunk if you are a video game junkie.

Day 2 off for a visit to Hollywood studios. First thing we wanted to do was Toy Story Maina . Went right there and got fast passes and waited on line for it . It was a great ride and we loved it . . We even had to go back and ride it again. There is a really cute photo area across from the ride that you can go meet Buzz and Woddy . It is all Toy Story themed . I give it a . We went on all the rides there and had a great day until it POURED on us and well it runied my chances of seeing the parade or Block Party Bash as they call it. We went there twice and both times there was rain. .

Day 3 off to another park. This was a big day we did MAGIC KINGDOM . And this is where we had the most fun on our whole trip . We love it there and my son is his happiest there . He can ride space mountain forever .

This is where I will leave off for now I am tired and will finish later .

Yeah they are really cute until it hits 3AM at magic kingdom ...yes we did stay that late one night you will see at the end of the motherland part of my trippie.

Ok Day three ...

This is our Magic Kingdom Day . So off we go. We can spend days in Magic Kingdom with my son . He can ride every ride and then some . He is the happiest little child there. WE did all the major rides and yet again it did rain here too . I was not upset about missing the parade as it is the same as the one we say last year. We must have did space mountain about 4 times and then mommy said enough. Here is a nice photo we took by the castle ..

We had a great time there .

Day 4 Animal Kingdom ....HOT ,HOT ,HOT is what this park should be called . There is NO Place to get out of the heat here . We finally noticed that the trees here were growing and that it was about 10 degrees cooler under them . I finally got to see my Nemo show and we loved it . Reminded me of a broadway show . I suggest you go see it if you are there and get to the theater early . My son was upset here as he can go on expedition everest and can't get on the Dinosaur twirl rollercoaster . I still can't figure this one out I think EE is much worse then that spining thing anyday . Either way we had a good time here and had a great dinner at the Rainforest Cafe . But no Valcano for us . We were stuffed and couldn't eat anything else.

Day 5 ... We split this day ... We started nice and early at Blizzard Beach . My DS that doesn't really swim had a great time here . He had on a life vest and rode all the big slides . It was a great time ...Untill again the rain came . Not so bad that it rained but then the real storms started and the thunder came . We were out of there . It was about Three PM anyway so we were fine with leaving. Also a friend of ours was in MK that day and we wanted to meet up with them for at least one ride and to say HI. My DS and her DS will be in the same class this school year. So from BB we went to the room cleaned up and then went to MK.

OK I am stopping here . I am on Mozilla as my AOL is not working and I can't get my photos to come up . I want to add some to the trippie and now I will have to wait .

Will continue this later ...gotta run storms are coming in now too AHHH one of those days already and it isn't even noon yet ...

Another day another park ...

Off to Epcot and we had busy day . We had ADR's for Crystal palace and had not done Epcot yet. We had to do Epcot and well we weren't missing our dinner . We did all the major rides in Epcot . I love Nemo and had to get a shirt to share with my oldest DD. We got a shirt with Dorey it says ...I forgot where I got this shirt.. .. I loved it and had to have it.

Ok off to the monarail to get to MK to eat . DS had a great experience as he got to ride in the front of the monarail . He loved it and got to do it twice . If I lived in Florida I would not even buy tickets to the park i would just put him on that all day ...

So after dinner back to Epcot . While I was there we have the Disney Visa card and every year they "give" you a "free" 5x7 with a private photo session . The last two years we have had just Minnie and Goofy . Well this year we got lucky and got Mickey , Minnie and Goofy . I will post a photo later as my supload is not working .

After Epcot we had things we wanted to finish at the other parks so we did our last day as a day of hopping.

Ok our last day of the trip to the Mother Land .

We did a lot on this day and we stayed in Magic Kingdom Till 3AM. There is a photo of a clock on Main Street USA and yes my kids were all there and up. My son was so excited on Space Mountain at 2:35 in the morning the CM tld him he was going to ride again without waiting . I was slightly confused how he was going to do this . As we exit the ride the CM told us how to get around to the front of the line again and we did ride again with no wait . It was a wonderful way to end the WDW ...( mother land) trip ,

On Saturday we are on our way to the DARKSIDE ....


The RPR is nice to pull up to but not the same as the HRH . It is just missing the atmosphere to me . We go to check in and our room is not ready . No suprise here . We leave the resort and went shopping . We get our call the room is ready . Off to see it . Well after paying a little extra for a water /pool view we were put on the second floor of tower 1. NO VIEW except for the over grown bushes. Never mind that we also had some kind of leak just outside the room . The rug was so wet we were tracking water into the room. I was not happy . I went up to the lobby to state my case and was moved. We were then put in tower 3 on the 5th floor . Here is our better view .

Off to eat going to the parks in the morning .


Days in the darkside were very nice . There are a few things I noticed since we were there in May . The obvious one is the OAk is gone It is very sad to see. All the harry potter signs are pushing for a 2010 opening .
There are some new construction walls up in USF for Hollywood rockit . The line for twister is completly detoured .

We missed going to see Darkie .. my DH was in no mood that day and was very . I think the Florida water and heat had gotten to him . We did however eat at Mythos again and we love it there .

My son who never even knew the simpsons loved the ride . I have to say my two fav. parts now are sayings by homer .

Can't you just kill me on a work day . and I waited over an hour to get on this thing and I am gonna ride . Gotta love it .

With Sunday and Monday in the parks we did stay on Tuesday until almost 7 PM. The express on some rides was VERY LONG . Dudley was over 30 min . Express .. MIB at one time had about at 25-30 min wait . it may have even been longer . And the simpsons at one time had a 30 -40 min express wait .

We had a great trip and are going to take some time off from the florida parks next year. I really don't want to return till Harry Potter is opened and the mother land does something new .

I know , i know it is shocking ... But with all the fuss this year of going there twice (the sweet16 thing) and now next year we have one starting to drive ...BIG and one leaving 8th grade to go to the same ...RANT MONEY STEALING CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL ) and one making first communion I think orlando will survive one year without us . maybe even two ... We will see ..

My DS rode Dinosaur he couldn't ride that other dumb rollercoaster thing in the Dinosaur area . I can't remember the name though ??

I got my photo pass CD and yes all the epcot pictures are on there. I am glad this years photo is different . .. Got Mickey , Minnie and Goofy . That was a Suprise because every other year it was only Goofy and Minnie.
