Start trip weekend of MLK or next weekend?

Wondering if it's better to start our trip the weekend of MLK or the weekend after in 2021.

First time visiting in January so not that familiar with crowds. Seems most don't think MLK is that bad.

Neither weekend is better or worse for me.

That's been a pretty busy time the last few years. We've gone starting the weekend after MLK many times over the past few years and the crowds are moderate then but definitely not quiet!

There have been plenty of reports on the boards about how busy it’s been since MLK.

We went 2 years ago for MLK and it was fine, but WDW has only gotten busier since. I would expect the worst and hope for the best.

Think I will opt for MLK and hope since festival of the arts hasn't started it won't be as busy.

Parks were SUPER busy MLK weekend this year. If you can, I would totally avoid the holiday weekend. That being said, we had an awesome trip and did everything including ROTR.
