Start of Adulthood where everyone is a kid....11/16-11/19-UPDATED* (11/12-page 2)

I *always* seem to get sick right before my trips! Go hit the vitamin C!

My first Disney trip was when I was 18- enjoy the parents paying while it lasts! ;)

You've had some crazy times with all of the cancellations! Hope it all works out once you get there!

You're a secret agent already in training! :rotfl:

You should feel better by the time you leave, unless you get a secondary infection-pixie dust for you to get better.

Nice card to hand out. Administration has cards for us moderator's and webbies to hand out. I don't know if I could do it, I am a sort of shy person.

Really!? awesome! LOL

Sorry, tired, and a little hyper. The dorkiness just comes natural. Plus I only have a week.

we are leaving in 5 days (just turned 4!!) and I packed all the shirts I made today. I folded and layed on my bed what I plan to bring, and am going to do a quick load of laundry now before bed. I should be packed (hopefully) tomorrow. For some reason, all my professors decided to give me assignments, projects, essays, and a speech the week I leave.....bummer...

My Essay is on the Cultural De-race-ination of Disney's Song of the South on Splash Mountain....we had to pick an article off the school database, and being my trip is so close, I typed Disney World, and that's what came up. It's a neutral subject, the article is 16 pages long, I should be good. :)

The day I leave, I have a Speech on "Intimate Relationships" for my Communications course....why did I volunteer to go first? I can't stay focused enough to rehearse it. (help on this would be much appreciated)

So yea, got new contacts (my eyes are so screwed up for my age, lol, I am allgeric to the cleaning solutions, so I use this Hydrogen Prodixide stuff and the special case turns it to saline, plus I have an Astigmatism, and the contacts for that dry my eyes out SO bad! Can I just use the Saline Solution as eye drops, or what?) Which makes me syked, I am going to get to see inside the rides for the first time! (They use to always make me take off my glasses :( )

Just thought I'd update before I went to dream land (those contacts tire my eyes out also! They are still dry and I took them out, ugh, lol)

Night All, Have Disney dreams

We leave today!!!! :cheer2: :dance3: :drive: :dancer: party: :jumping1: :jumping3:
I am so excited; in a few short hours I will be picked up from school, and be heading to the World. I have a speech first class, second class is cancelled, and I am almost home free! :cloud9:

Sorry I haven’t updated in a bit, I have been going crazy. Last night I was up til 2:30am getting stuff together, and I still forgot things.

Last Weekend, Allison got a “letter from Mickey”. Since I missed the Paying It Forward board, and no one could send it to me on time, I wrote a letter to her from Mickey and Friends, with a collage of characters on the bottom, put it in an envelope with the return address reading “Mickey Mouse, 321 Main Street, Toon Town, MK 77777” and stuck a stamp on it and snuck it into the mail that we receive that day. She went HEAD OVER HEELS! And was surprised that I wrote Mickey Mouse! This is what the letter said:

Dear Allison,

Hi there from Disney World! We can’t wait to see you; we are going to have so much fun. Now, your sister wrote us a letter telling us that you were a little shy about us coming up to give you hugs. Even though we would love to give you hugs, and would never hurt such a nice little girl, we are use to it. To help remind us, we sent your sister a little thing to wear while you are at our character breakfasts. If by chance you want to give us hugs, come on up! We would love to have hugs! You however are not allowed to see the sign until your first character breakfast, it’s a surprise! Just keep it on, and we will understand, and just give everyone else hugs.

Fallon also told me you have a couple early reservations to eat with us. We will call each morning to wake you up, try to answer the phone to see who it is! It is very important to leave when your big sister tells you too also. She has a couple great surprises for you, and you don’t want to miss out by taking a long time with your applesauce. Get up, get dressed, eat your applesauce, and then watch TV if mom and dad aren’t ready yet.

I hope you have fun in all the parks. Make sure to ride “it’s a small world” and the Tea Cups! They are a lot of fun.

In Epcot, make sure to go to all the different countries. Ask your sister about them, she knows a lot about the different places you are going to see! Fallon told me you might have to write a “travel log”, this will be a lot of fun! We have eleven countries: Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, United States, Japan, Morocco, France, United Kingdom (also know as England), and Canada.

In MGM, you can see the Muppets, go on a movie tour, and many other things. I remember when your sister was your age, she would go right up there with the street performers and play along. They always raved about her! Maybe the two of you can do something there?

And you are going to my Christmas Party also? Wow, you are going to have a blast! Since you are going to the Magic Kingdom the next day, try to only do all the Christmas related stuff. These are one of a kind, and so much fun!

Now that we have all that squared away, I hope you are excited! I saw that you are staying at All Star Music resort, which is one of my favorites! Be sure to take lots of pictures around it, and see if you can spot Donald anywhere by the pool. (He has a statue there).

All Our Love

Mickey and Friends

So yea, she was syked.

Tuesday, my family celebrated my birthday (even though it was Yesterday). I got Disney Scene It, and a Winnie Pooh holding a Birthday Cake singing “Happy Birthday”! I also got lots of birthday money from Aunts and Uncles to spend in the World. So my spending money is set basically, my folks also got me one of those Cookie Cakes from America’s Greatest Cookie (I think that’s the name of the store) with Piglet! We went to play Scene It though, and the DVD wasn’t working!!! Apparently it was left in mom’s car for a week….so we had to exchange it the next day. :sad2:

Yesterday I turned 18, and we went to the Disney Store. Tip Time! If you have a Character Premiere store by you, GO BEFORE YOUR VACATION. These stores are run by WDW, and they offer great discounts. We got a Pal Mickey (which is usually $65) for $33! Awesome deals. I also got a new bag, wallet, cell phone stickers for my phone, etc. It was a blast. Okay, took your notes? Good! Time to go back to yesterday.

Any way, after I bought my Pal Mickey, my mom stole it….I wonder why. I had class and work, all while I was bustling with joy, and then two “parties” one with my Girl Scout troop (it was meeting night, and my week to present, so I brought cupcakes!) and my Youth Group (they called me in the morning to tell me to go to the church at 8:30 for an “urgent meeting” But it was all fun. I got home at 9:30, and had a million things to do. I had to print my Itinerary; Paying it Forward list; Confirmation Numbers; Email I sent to Matt about Magical Express in case he lost it, a card from Mickey to Allison; Invitations for ‘Ohana’s, 1900 Park Fare, and Crystal Palace (the last one I was able to get thanks to Maria’s life saving skills on editing one quick for me :thumbsup2 ); Allison’s Activity Book with coloring pages, mazes, and word searches; Allison’s letter to her teacher saying we will pick her up today, she will not take the After Care bus for my folks to sign; and a bunch of other stuff. On top of all that I still had to pack. Yes ladies and gents, I was up for 5 more hours getting everything together, unmedicated since I forgot to take my antidepressants that morning, and getting really stressed to the point I almost sat there and cried.

But I got almost everything done (forgot to make a couple of things, ah well)

The pets are being brought to teh kennel today :dog2: :cat:

All in all, I am off to the World, practically ready to go, and still haven’t received the planning video!! I bet I get it when I am in PDTS (Post Disney Trip Syndrome)

Anyway, I will see you all when we get back, pictures in hand, writing the actually report. Thanks to all of you who read and commented on my pre-trip report, you inspired me to keep writing.

I’ll say hi to the mouse for all of you!
