Ok, I've posted about this before, but today I actually had it for lunch.
The Basics: This is about the cheapest complete lunch you can find at the Studios. A wedge of a giant foccacia sandwich, "king-size" bag of Frito-Lay chips, and a medium soft drink for $6.99 ($7.45 with tax).
The Sandwich: Today it included Turkey and a soft white cheese (brie, I think), roasted red and green bell peppers, lettuce, and a green spread (either avacado or pesto mayonnaise). The bread is thick and is baked with tomato slices, herbs, and red onions. The sandwich was good, very tasty, and nearly the volume of a Subway 6-inch sub. I believe that I have seen this sandwich made with other meats (ham, for example), but I was not able to verify that today.
The Chips: A "King-Size" bag of chips weighs in at 3 oz, about 50% larger than the bags of chips you get at Subway (why am I comparing this to Subway???) Today they only had Nacho Cheese Doritos, but they offered to substitute a piece of fresh fruit.
The Price: I looked at a reciept from a few weeks ago, and I spent around $7.45 for fish and chips and a cup of ice water at the ABC Commisary, a decidedly less appealing meal, and with tap water to drink. I would definitely recommend the "Sandwich Package" as my reciept calls it, and will have it again next time I'm hungry at the Studios.
