I don’t frequent Starbucks but they sent me a coupon for a drink on my birthday day. I’ll be at Disneyland/DCA that day and was wondering does anyone know if the Starbucks in the parks participate and will redeem my bday free drink?

Thanks!

No, it doesn't work at the ones inside the parks, but you can redeem your birthday drink at the Starbucks in downtown Disney. Happy birthday!

The in-park Starbucks (Fiddler, Fifer, & Practical Cafe at DCA and Market House at Disneyland) allow you to use loaded money from the Starbucks app (and you can earn stars), but you can’t use free drinks or order ahead from the in-park locations.

If you want to order ahead, you must order from the Downtown Disney location or any of the nearby hotel/standalone locations.

You can use your app to pay but you can’t order ahead or redeem any perks (free drinks etc)

And if you are wanting anew Christmas container before you head to the parks....Disney Store has them on sale! Using Disney Visa discount, I got mine for about $23! Yippee! Also got the light up necklace for about half the price as in the park.

Similar to Aunt Cass Café: you can't earn or redeem Boudin perks there. I was pretty sure about that but asked when I was there recently and was told no. At a regular Boudin store, I could have used my loyalty card to get my monthly free bread when I made a purchase. Oh well...

Be thankful you have a Boudin store togo to LOL...I LOVE that bread and alas, cant get it in CO. Have to settle for Panera or WholePaycheck...nowhere near the quality of Boudin!

Looking forward toa loaf in a couple more weeks!

Sorry to further veer away from the original topic, but this is an important public service announcement for anyone visiting DL. 😄

Boudin sourdough freezes very well. Wrap it in a layer of aluminum foil, then one or two plastic bags. I cut the loaf into a few sections first and wrap them individually so I don't have to thaw out the whole loaf when I want some. It'll last at least a couple of months this way, so you can enjoy French toast, sandwiches, etc. long after you got the bread.

so am I reading this right? the parks have Starbucks (named something different) - you can't use your Starbucks app (that has money loaded on it) and you can't order ahead via the app?
Just for clarification...the in park Starbucks are Disney owned and operated but the DTD location is a Starbucks corporate operated location, hence the limited available features inside the parks.

OMG! Thank you so much! Had no idea...you better believe what's going in my carry on!

And now back to our regularly scheduled discussion...but thank goodness for theDISBoard...the things you learn!

This happens in other places too such as Starbucks inside hotels... I saved a bunch of points to use in Vegas once (hot weather - need cold drinks!) but there are very few locations on the strip that allow star redemptions.

Ah, I bet that's the case with Boudin, too. The CM I asked about my loyalty card said something about it not really being a Boudin shop. I thought maybe some third party ran it, but Disney would make more sense.
