Does the Starbucks location on Buena Vista Street accept the Starbucks Gold Card and give the discounts associated with the gold card? DH would be very happy if they accept his gold card!

I was wondering this too, or if we can use a starbucks gift card or disney gift card at the Disney starbucks locations.

What discounts do you get with the Gold Card? I have one and all it does is send me a coupon for a free drink after i make 15 purchases...but no discounts.

If you want to know if they will take Starbucks cards as payment...yes they will.

Yes, you can use your Gold Card, but you do not earn stars or get free modifiers (in my experience). You cannot reload your card there.

You can also use your AP for a discount, which was surprising.

Some of the benefits to the gold card are free modifiers like soy, syrup, etc. Free refills on tea and coffee while you are at Starbucks. Free beverage with a pound of coffee.

Oh yeah...I forgot about the modifiers. I purchase a green-tea lemonade - unsweetened daily with my Gold Card, so I never needed to take advantage of the free add-ins. I may have to rethink my stand-by favorite drink.

I remember when the Gold Card first came out and you had to purchase it for $25. It came with a discount (10% off each order). I thought that was the discount OP was referring to, but they got rid of that a few years ago.

I know, I was so surprised that I could use my AP to get my discount! It made my Starbucks at DLR cheaper than my normal Starbucks. So weird. :rotfl:

I remember the old discount card, those were the days. :lmao:

Thanks for the feedback. Maybe the fact that they give AP discounts will help me convince DH to get APs before our next trip! :-)

What?! Starbucks in DCA?! We haven't been to DLR in 2 years and haven't been frequenting the boards in about as much time too. Now we're planning a trip in Oct and there's so much to catch up on! This is better news than Cars Land opening! :cool1:

Does anyone know if they take the scan ap? That would one less card to carry..

I wish I had that Disney feeling at work.

I hope so because I always use my barcode on an app to pay. I have no idea where my Gold Card is.

Has anyone tried to use the Starbucks ap at fiddler?

I wish I had that Disney feeling at work.

They can't actually scan the app....they need to read the numbers. The only reason I mention it was because the CM I had kind of made a big deal about having to read the numbers so I just handed her the cash instead.

I wonder if I used a gift card attached to my acct if that would work? Meaning...do they only have an issue with the QR reader or accessing the accts in general.

First off you do earn stars. I know this for two reasons. First, the number on the back if the Starbucks card goes right to the Starbucks computers, so they know you were at a Starbucks. Second, I had not used my card in about a week and all my stars were current. Then I go to DCA and get a iced green tea. Next day a star is there. So yes you get stars. Also you can not scan app. I asked, and nope. Just like my Starbucks at LAX (I work at LAX) you have to have that card. That is my experiences. Your mileage may very.

They don't have the scanner to read the code. They have to manually enter the numbers in. The girl at LAX had no problem doing it with my phone APP but this one seemed frazzled so I just gave her the $5. :)

I go to Starbucks often enough that missing the 1 star wasn't going to matter too much

I think you should follow up with Starbucks. The thing is, to use your card at DCA, they have to be linked to the Starbucks system, thus Starbucks knows you used your card and you should have gotten your star.
