Starbucks? How dare you.

This has nothing to do with Disney and won't be publicity for them one way or another.

Nothing to do with Disney?? so its REALLY nice then that Disney has this place in their park huh? hmmmm ok

Starbucks is in Disney, Target, airports, my local grocery store and many other places. This won't be bad publicity for any of them and won't be a blip on the radar for most people.

Nothing in the article affects whether I want to buy coffee from Starbucks or not, and I doubt it affects many other people either. It's just another corporate argument that doesn't make a difference, and a ruling that results in one corporation paying pocket change to this other corporation.

Seems like this is more than a reach to attack Starbucks on your part.

Yes, yes it is really nice that Disney has this place in their park. :thumbsup2

It seems you're reaching desperately for anything negative to say about Starbuck's being in Disney. Contract disputes happen all the time.

Oh, look! Here's a recent one that Disney lost: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr-esq/disney-loses-court-battle-3d-642458

I suppose you'd say that court battle over 3D technology was bad publicity for Starbucks, despite the fact that they weren't involved in any way, eh? ;)

Good grief, it was a contract dispute. You're acting like Starbucks came out and said, "We refuse to serve minorities" or something. Give me a break.

This was a contract dispute over distribution of their product by Kraft to Grocery stores. They didn't feel Kraft was holding up to their end of the contract. Apparently the judge disagreed.

I think you're reaching here just because you miss your overrated giant cinnamon bun. LOL

support them and please spend all your money at starbucks and dont buy disney coffee :surfweb: <---drinking starbucks

I am sorry, but I fail to see what this can possibly have to do with Disney.

I gather from the posts below that you are upset that Disney has included a Starbucks location within their park where a different food service was previously offered, and you prefer the prior food service. Okay, I get that. I'm not a huge fan of change and I certainly can understand being loyal to a particular food service, especially one associated with a vacation spot. I am sorry that you are upset and I hope you feel better about this.

But lets be real. What can this possibly have to do with Disney. If this is bad publicity for disney, which has for a brief period had a single shop in its main park, it must be massive bad publicity for Target which houses Starbucks in almost all of its locations. Apple must be crying, for it is the music partner for Starbucks and it has a huge shared marketing campaign with them. I am sure other theme parks, like Six Flags, are in despair over this, since Star Bucks are found in all six flags parks too. Heck even the cross town rival Universal must be facing bad publicity since they too have a starbucks on site.

Call this what it really is. This is a big financial hit for a company like Starbucks to absorb, but it has nothing whatsoever to do with Disney. Starbucks doesn't even face bad publicity over this. It was a contract dispute between two corporate giants. No one is upset at Starbucks for this, except people who are angry at them for their existence at Disney maybe.

Anyway, I wish you the best and hope that starbucks existence won't spoil your vacation enjoyment, but this particular news story is not even a blip on the radar for Disney or any of Starbucks other partners.

I'm missing the joke here, somewhere.

"Disney coffee"? There is no Disney coffee. (Nescafe, maybe?)

It's too early to be this confused... :upsidedow

Maybe that stuff at Cheshire Cafe?

I don't get the joke either, for what it's worth.

It felt like a stab at the beginning, then it just ended in confusion.

Eh, whatever. I'll still buy Starbucks & go to Disney. But, I appreciate the news source just to be in the know.

First, this has to do with Starbucks and Kraft, not Disney.

Second, this isn't even negative publicity, it's a contract dispute between the two companies.

Third, with a company as large as Starbucks, stores, distribution, etc. start to fall under different silos. Distribution to [grocery] stores is different than the coffee sold at Starbucks stores. This lawsuit is strictly distribution and does not in any way reflect Starbucks stores or their transplant stores (such as Disney World).

The irony here is that "Disney Coffee" is Nescafe, which is made my Nestle. If you wanna get into bad publicity....
