Starbucks - gift cards

As a teacher, I've accumulated quite a few starbucks gift cards over the holidays. From what I've been able to gather online so far, I can use these at the starbucks locations at WDW, but will they just be accepted for coffee, or will I be able to redeem them for anything on the menu, even if it's not typical starbucks fare?

You can use a Starbucks GC to purchase anything in the Starbucks location. I also receive many GC and save them as a special treat for when we are at Disney.

I used some to buy the Starbucks park mugs! Make sure to register your cards so you earn stars to get free drinks or food items. You can't use the rewards at the Disney stores but you can earn points.

Excellent! That's awesome. I'm more of a Tim Horton's girl when it comes to coffee, so I don't regularly use these cards, but I'm so glad I'll have a use for them! Breakfast sandwiches from Main Street Bakery and Fountainview in the morning and bakery treats in the afternoon! So excited to have a practical use for them!

Create a Starbucks rewards account and put the cards on there. That way you earn rewards from your purchases. You can use the cards directly or use the phone app.

we used our cards in 2015 and we didnt' get rewards stars - so be aware of that

I also believe I wasn't able to use my stars for a free reward at the Starbucks in the park.

I was there this December. I couldn't use a reward I had, but I could pay with the app and earn stars. My stars did show up.

You mentioned Main Street Bakery and Fountainview- are these actual Starbucks stores or shops within Disney that sell Starbucks and take gift cards? Basically, Im curious as to where the gift cards can be used.

Yes they are Starbucks locations. They take Starbucks gift cards.

I just looked at the dining locations listed on AllEars. It looks like there's these two, one in Animal Kingdom and a couple of other locations in Disney Springs.

as far as the parks go there is one in each park:
Main Street Bakery in MK
Fountain view in Epcot
Creature Comforts in AK
Trolley Car Cafe in Hs

Thanks- thats awesome that there are locations at every park. I had no idea! I love those Starbucks gift cards a little more now

And each of those locations has their own "you are here" mug! I now have the full size mug and the ornament for each park.

Correct. The ones at Disney Springs will allow redemptions, but the ones inside the parks only earn stars. No redeeming.

Yes. And I usually just transfer small balances to a bigger card on my account so I don't have to keep swiping between cards.

Can you use the gift cards on anything sold at these locations, or just Starbucks products?
