Starbucks gift cards

its been a long time since I've used a Canadian $ Starbucks card in the US. I know they get converted but has anyone used on in the states recently? Did the employees know what to do? I plan on using my PC points to get $140 in Starbucks to use for breakfast in the parks.

They just swipe them, they do not have to do anything special

The cards and app work fine in the US. One oddity that did hit me a while back when using the app. Somehow my Canadian based account magically got converted to a US dollar account, possibly after hitting the reload threshold during a random US purchase. I had used the app on several US trips prior without issue; not 100% certain why this randomly happened. I had to call Starbucks to get my account converted back over to a Canadian dollar account as it started taking all my reloads in US$ from my C$ credit card, and I ended up paying exchange on both the purchase and reload transactions in Canada. I've used the app several times since in the US with no further issues.

I will use my PC points to purchase the gift cards at the Superstore. I've asked several cashiers if I can use points for gift cards and they have said yes.

Thanks! This was the year we were supposed to skip a vacation BUT we had a last minute change of heart so I'm really trying not to break the bank. So free coffee and breakfast for the week makes me feel good!

Yup Have used them for the Keg, Store GC for gifts and Visa prepaid(just pay the service fee. All on points. Great way to cash in.

I used my Airmiles back in March to get Starbucks e-cards. It was only a minor savings ($60) but we had breakfast on a couple of days and afternoon drinks in the parks. It was only my DD and myself so we would get the XL sized drink and share it. I'm not a Starbucks person but my DD is so she introduced me to some new concoctions.
