Starboard or port for Panama Canal Cruise?

Starboard or Port?

Doesn't matter. You should be out on deck, getting the whole view. Not just what you could see from your verandah/window.

Depends on whether you're going eastbound or westbound what you'll "see" from your room.
Westbound:
Starboard will be the "land side" during the cruise, Port will be "ocean side"
You'll get sunsets heading south (before the canal), and sunrise heading north (after the canal).

Reverse that for eastbound.

We did the eastbound and had port (we always get port though). But during the passage through the canal, we were up on deck to get all the views and hear the narrator. We saw monkeys in trees, gators (or is it crocs) and beautiful tropical birds.
