Star Wars Weekend

Hey

I was reading another post somewhere and someone was asking about which park to do on 4 June (which is the day we arrive in Orlando and is my birthday!).

Apparently it is Star Wars weekend at MGM and I was thinking of heading here during the evening - can anyone tell me what this all about - is it worth going to? Will it be busy?

For me being a star wars nut.. It being my honeymoon, and the first time they did star wars weekends.. I about wet myself... It was the coolest!

So many characters and appearences and fun things to do...

There were storm troopers walking above the ticket booths laughing talking and yelling.. And it sounded just like Mos Eisley... I could go on.. Storm Troopers and others would stop you in the street and ask you for your papers or if your alliegience was with the Empire...

I was very happy..

I went to MGM for Star Wars weekend a few years back. If you get over to Star Tours early enough and wave your kid around (assuming you have children) then they may get picked for Jedi Warrior training.

My Son did and at the end He got to fight the REAL Darth Vader. There was also a Star Wars parade and at sometime over the weekend guest appearances from Actors from the film.

Not to be missed.
