I'm still waiting for a member of the crowd to post pictures of that idiot stomping his big plastic feet at my Service Dog... There must be SOMEONE...The crowd was shocked, the Trooper's handler paralyzed with equal stupidity. I wonder what would have happened if I had just rammed the guy with my scooter?...Day in the life at WDW or defense of dog?

Thats horrible! :furious: I'm sorry to hear that some idiot in a stormtrooper costume would do such a thing!!!!

Cash is beautiful by the way!!

I am wondering why I don't live closer to Florida right now, thanks for posting it sounds like you two are having a BLAST! :darth: :ewok: :chewy: :yoda:

Not sure about the stomping trooper Videogal1; but I have some contacts you can get in touch with to lodge a complaint about the person.
As the 501st is a volunteer organization; there isn't a lot that can be done other than ensure he's not involved in the event in it again next year or with the organization. Not everyone has common sense unfortunately.
Regardless, on behalf of the 501st you have my sincerest apologies for that persons behaviour.
Beautiful dog btw!

As for Brian, I hope to see him in the 501st soon :)
Long live the Empire! :darth:

Ghost, I'm honored to be on your blog!! I hope everyone gets a lot of info out of it, I loved taking the pictures and writing the report.
tonight!!!

Your welcome!

I am enjoying this. I am not a big Star Wars fan, just enjoy the movies... but with your report and pictures I do feel the urge to go one day for Star Wars Weekends... although, I never really need another reason to visit WDW ;)

Keep those picture reports coming.

Went yesterday with my DD9 and my buddy's DS8, both big Star Wars fans. Comments

1) The stormtroopers were funny, but I was expecting more before the rope drop.

2) We signed up for the Padawn Mind Challenge, 6 pm version. And that was just after rope drop. You must move fast. On the positive side, my DD9 was among the final group that got all questions correct and the only girl! She was proud to stand up for overlooked female fans of the saga. The hosts were quite humorous

2) My DD9 greatly enjoyed Jedi Training. Again, the "Master" was funny and great with kids. It was only later that she told me that she was terrified of Vader. We had to leave the signature line our friends were in - she could not be in the same room with the Dark Lord.

3) Loved that they had a "Luke" this year, though I think he tops out 5'5". The Anakin they had was a not the dead ringer last one's was for Hayden Christensen.

4) Much better set up for merchandise. I was still able to resist the pin sets ($95) though they were cool. Loved the X-Wing

:furious:

That about sums up my mood for this past weekend.

I'd like to say I visited MGM again. I'd like to post some additional pictures.

But my car decided it was time to break. And do it well.

No trip to Disney. I'll just have to make up for it this coming weekend.

Who knew it was so hard to rent a car when you are under 25...by 2 months.

Anyhoo, more pics coming up from next weekend!!!

But for now...

I'll just have to wait patiently...

Belle Amy - bummer ! :(
I hope next weekend makes up for it ! :smooth: Looking forward to more of your pictures and reports! - DNeph and I started our SW marathon last weekend - 3 movies . . . we'll watch the last 3 this weekend and then we're ready - he's 'preparing' for the padawan trivia challenge - last year he fell short by one round and hopes to make it to the end this year! :yoda:

Hi Belle Amy

great report, we are even in some of the photo's (in the crowd opposite you in the parade). Wasn't it fun singing Happy Birthday to Peter Mayhew in Wookieneese?!?!

We also had fun talking to Jason about his George Lucas stint.

Classic!! How could I forget to mention this!!! This is why I should take notes!!

Glad you had a great time too, can't wait to get back there!!

As for a car update, I just dropped my wounded beast off at the mechanic, should have it done by Friday. Yay!

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience at SWW. This has truly been a great report!
