Star Wars Visions

Anyone watch??? I am not very familiar w anime at all, but it's Star wars, so wanted to watch. I have seen the Last Airbender /Avatar series.
Overall, I enjoyed these quite a bit. They are not connected, don't need to watch 1 to understand the other, and all rather short, 20 mins or less. Different animation styles, and I definitely preferred some over the others. I really enjoyed episodes 1, 5, 7, and 9. 2 was cuckoo, but funny., and 4 had beautiful animation. I would love to see more of 1 and 5 and maybe 9, like continuing series on those. I just enjoyed how they were inspired by Star wars, but not having to work within canon. Some of the inspiration, and their takes on lightsabers, (like the swords, or the idea that a saber crystal will be the color of the wielder,) were so interesting. Again, not really into anime at all, but still found them enjoyable enough.
Anyone else watch? enjoy? dislike?

I have watched the first four so far. They ahve been enjoyable, some a littler weirder than otehrs. I do want to watch the rest, jsu thada busy weekend and didn't get around to it yet.

Okay, I watched the fifth one today and I think it was the best so far. I will share my thoughts on them below - may contain minor spoilers:

1 - The Duel
This one is really good and visually striking. It was a pretty by-the-numbers wandering samurai type of thing though, but a nice start.

2 - Tatooine Rhapsody
This is super fun, though I didn't care for the character animation. On the other hand, the backgrounds and ships and such are amazing. I wish the singing had been a little better as I thought that the twist was that this band just isn't very good, ha ha!

3 - The Twins
This is a bit too weird for me. I love the concept, but the execution was lacking. I'd like more of the backstory on the twins as I think that would have been more interesing. Powering up the lightsaber to 9000 or whatever doesn't work for me.

4 - The Village Bride
I love the story here for sure and the animation was nice too. This is also a bit simple and predictable, but the great designs make it work. I would love to know more about F and Valco.

5 - The Ninth Jedi
Okay, this one is great - a little too great, but with one major problem - it was not paced as a finite short and more like the first episode of a series, a series that I WANT TO SEE! Man, if any get a continuation, this is the one that needs one. Great, great stuff!

I'll post about the rest when I watch them, but so far they have all been at least somewhat enjoyable.

I got to watch a couple more over my lunch hour:

6. T0-B1
This isn't really my style, but it had a good story - it's obviously an homage to Astro Boy, maybe a bit too much so. A fully robotic Jedi is an interesting idea.

7. The Elder
This is another one of the best! The animation is beautiful with some great action. It is maybe moving a little slow with a lot of talking at first. These characters are cool, but they don't necessarily beg to be revisited further as those from The Ninth Jedi do.

Okay, lsat two:

8. Lop and Ochō
This one is beautuful! The animation is stunning with great ship animation and that added film-grain makes it look epic. Is Lop of the same species as Jaxon? This is a cool story too, one I could like to see more of.

9. Akakiri
What the...? Well, way to end it with a thud. This was...unpleasant. From the funky character designs to the ugly animation, I just don't think this works. And the story? Dark, depressing, and cynical. Yikes!

Overall though I enjoyed the series and would love to see more of this kind of thing in general.

I'm going to sit and rank mine soon. I agree..Akakiri was a huge downer, but I would want to see if there's any chance for redemption if the story continued....although that is doubtful, I still appreciate it.
My favorite was also the Ninth Jedi! I wish they'd continue that into a series.
I always have trouble ranking things. A lot of them just kinda tie in the middle,
I agree my least favorites included T0B1, and the Twins, I appreciated some of the imagery in the Twins, but I didn't like it overall. I may have to rewatch a few.

I could maybe want to see more if the animation were more pleasing, but I didn't care for that at all. Ninth Jedi definitely has the most potential to move forward.
