Anyway able to make some Star Wars name tags that I could print out on either return address labels or oversized address labels with "Jefferson's 7th Birthday" printed on them? I would like to be able to write the kids names on them with a sharpie when they get to the party. It's going to be at a children's museum and I think that it would be great if everyone had name tags. Thank you!!!

I made two options for you:

Here is the first one for a sticker style nametag. I wasn't sure of what dimensions you were using...so this may or may not fit the sticker you choose. If you like this idea and find one you want to use...I can try to reformat to fit the correct size if you let me know the dimensions.

Here is what I would do if it were my party. Instead of just having sticker nametags...make "event" nametags with lanyards. If you don't have a lot of kids coming to the party you can buy lanyards with badge holders already on them...or a cheap way to do this if you are going to have a large group and want to make them for the kids and adults...go to Wal-mart, Toys are Us or any store where they sell baseball trading cards and buy the hard plastic trading card covers. I usually get mine at Walmart and you can get I think 35 for under $5.00. (Walmart usually has their trading cards near the registers.) Then you can buy black lanyards in packs of ten at office supply stores or even hobby lobby with a 50% off coupon. Once you have everything...print this name tag...it should be 3.5x2.597 inches and it will slide in the trading card cover. Next take a hole punch and punch a hole at the top and add a lanyard. If you aren't super strong get a man to punch the hole or if you have a 3 hole paper punch it is easy to punch a single hole. I love these because kids love to keep them and it makes them feel important and special if you pretype their name.

Also, to make them profesional...insert a textbox in word to preprint each child's name so you won't have to handwrite them. Here is a link that will teach you how to do this if you don't already know how:

I can help...if you have any problems...just send me a pm.

And here is a link where you can download the "star wars" font:

I DELETED THE IMAGES OF THE NAME CARDS TO MAKE ROOM IN MY PHOTOBUCKET.

Need a little help please. I think I'm inserting the text box exactly like you are saying, but I can't get it to appear on top of the picture. Am I doing something wrong? Sorry to bother you again.

If you have already inserted a textbox and it isn't showing up. Click on the picture you are trying to put the textbox over. Then go to the picture toolbar and click on the image of the dog with the lines behind it. When the drop down menu pops up click on "behind text".

If the textbox doesn't appear when you do this...then the textbox was never inserted. If you need me to set it up for you...send me a pm with your email and the dimensions/size you need for the card and I can send it to you in a word document.

Marion,
Thank you so much for also sending a design. That was so sweet of you! I have saved all three designs because I know I will use them all at some point. :)

Dolly, thanks for helping me with getting the text box right. I finally got it!

Have a great Holiday weekend.
