I've heard there are supply issues for Galaxy's Edge. Most of the replica lightsabers are sold out. The Khyber Krystals are selling out, so you can't get all the colors. Does anyone know if the shelves have been restocked?

Hopefully they are limiting the amount BEFORE the official opening as it would be way stupid to not have items on or after opening day......???

NOTE: after seeing your post I looked on evilbay and saw tons of GE stuff for sale, crystals etc.....

Yesterday, I inquired and was told spira wouldn’t be there until official opening day.

At Savi’s they’re giving vague times to walk ups. Instead of “come back at 1” it’s “it’s going to be an hour or so, maybe come back in 30 minutes.” They have a 3 time policy on calling your name. They’ll call you for 3 showings. If you aren’t there after the 3rd, they’ll drop you.

For the spira, I think I read the DL version was initially (still is?) only available at the merchandise side of droid depot. I suppose that’s the best place to look for it opening day?

When we visited DL in mid-July, the gift card had been sold out but was back in stock. It was not at the Droid Depot but instead was at the merchandise kiosks in the Resistance outpost area.

Yesterday, I approached the CM in front of Savi’s, and she told me to come back in an hour or so. About 15 minutes later, I walked up again and she let me into the line, where I only had to wait 15 minutes. They called the name of multiple people who weren’t there (I assume standby) and moved on to the next name.

Does anyone know how disney is enforcing the one item per person rule? If they're not enforcing the time slots how are they stopping people from buying multiples hours later? I have the 5-9 slot on the last day of AP previews and it would really suck if I was not able to get some of the things I want because of others being able to spend all day in GE and going back and buying things. First time attending a preview so not sure how everything works but this thread has been super helpful! Thanks!

They have been out of stock of some stuff at DL for a while. I suspect that they took from DL supplies are are holding back for WDW However, it seems somethings are still getting stocked slowly. The resellers are killing me my mood this weekend, not just for SWGE merch but also for signing spots at D23 Expo. I only hope Karma is paying attention

Can anyone tell me how fragile the droids are? We're currently planning on bringing our son to build one but just wondering if it's going to be sturdy enough for him to play with or not. He won't be throwing it or anything super rough but if he can't even touch it without breaking it then I don't know if it would be worth introducing it to him.

I made an R unit and it's very sturdy, it's a remote controlled toy. My dog hates it and more than once has charged and knocked him down
The BB units head tends to fall off but I just see people putting it back on and keep playing

Thank you! That's what I was hoping to hear. Since we're only about 2 weeks away we're trying to avoid YouTube videos and have some surprises when we see it in person

Sorry if this has been mentioned here already, I went back some and also did a search and didn't see anything about this and thought others might find it useful


Today was my 180 day mark for my upcoming trip for mid-February (we check in on the 15th). So I went online to make dining reservations, with the Glaxy's Edge stuff first. The Cantina reservations worked as expected, just like any other dining ADR - could make it for my entire stay as staying on site, and the dates became "active" at 6am EST.

I also wanted to make an appointment at the Droid Depot so actually checked that a bit early, and, similar to dining, it was open to be made for my entire stay ... but unlike dining, it was open early - so I was done making the appointment by 5:50am, before the dining even opened. Not sure exactly what time it opens (maybe just at midnight?) but thought it might be useful for people that are interested to know this as I wasn't sure how it worked

Droid Depot and Savi’s must be on their own schedule to open booking...to not interfere with Dining and then FPs.

So, we built a BB8 style droid last night. I strongly encouraged getting the R2 style because it looked sturdier but kid went with BB style. It’s very cool the way the head rolls around on the ball vase. But the head frequently falls off, banging to the ground. Today (less than 12 hrs after purchase), he’s having all kinds of problems with it. The motor needs to constantly be opened up and re-set- I mean like every single time he goes to use it. If he doesn’t open the shell and re-set the motor, it doesn’t work at all. Of course, we left this morning and are now 3+ hours away. Suggestions?

Good to know. I just got a reservation for my last minute trip in Sept. I was probably going the R2 unit and this solidifies it.

The only thing I know is that after 5 minutes of inactivity it goes to sleep which is why you probably have to reset it. The problem with the BB unit is that the off switch is inside so you have to open it after playing and turn the switch off.

Well, that would have been a good thing to tell people BEFORE they chose one. Duh. At the very least, AFTER so we knew it was a thing. Could have avoided an hour if crying (he thought it broke). This is really dumb. Any advice for how to get a refund/return it?

I don't know. Did you check the receipt for a phone number?
