Star Wars Galactic Nights: What happens between 6 pm and 7 pm?

We are going to Star Wars Galactic Nights this coming Sunday and I see that the starting time is 7 pm for the party but the park closing time is listed as 6 pm. I know that you may enter early with the party ticket, but what happens between park closing at 6 and the starting of the party at 7? Are the rides/attractions open? We have done the Christmas and Halloween Party when we could get in early. Will this be similar? Any help would be appreciated.
