Star Wars Fireworks and Illuminations in one night, doable?

We've got 1 day in the parks before a cruise and our focus is the Food and Wine festival. However I really want to see the Star Wars fireworks too. We'll have hoppers so cost isn't an issue. Is it possible to leave the IG, walk or boat to HS, see the SW fireworks at 7:45 and then walk or boat back to Epcot to see Illuminations at 10 pm? Any tips for this plan?

Illuminations is always at 9pm. Do you see somewhere it's at 10?

Yes it's possible to see Star Wars at 7:45 then walk to Epcot and be there before 9. You'll watch from near the international gateway but if you walk quickly you'll make it in time

That walk from DHS to EC just hurts. I'd take a boat.

YES!! absolutely! With Illuminations at 10p you have plenty of time! You can easily catch the boat from DHS after the fireworks, get off at Swan and walk towards Boardwalk and around to Epcot. I suggest this because the boat ride all the way to Boardwalk is slow! It's faster to get off at Swan. Walking the entire way from DHS may take a bit longer.... but if there's a long line for the boat and you think you will have to wait for a second boat, and you are up for the walk..... you can walk the entire way. Just make sure to cut thru the Boardwalk near the main pool, then over to Epcot. Don't go by way of Yacht Club, that's much farther!

Oh ok you're going during food and wine that's right. Yes you'll have plenty of time. You'd make illuminations at 9 so you'll have more than enough time for 10.

The walk would take about 20 min. You could take the boat but leaving that late from HS you'll likely be waiting in line. Depending on how long the line is for the boat, taking the boat could take close to an hour.
