Hey everyone. I just wanted a sanity check on my plans. I feel like there is enough time, but wanted to double check.

On our arrival day, this upcoming Saturday Oct 1 (YAY!) they are doing the Star Wars Fireworks at DHS. It's the only day that fits to be able to see them during our trip. So, I rebooked some dinner reservations around them.

The Fireworks start at 7:30pm. So, I booked dinner reservations at 9:00pm at San Angel Inn for a couple in our group and at 9:00pm for us at Teppan Edo. Seems a reasonable amount of time to be able to exit DHS and hoof it over to Mexico/Japan? I want to say the walk is about 30-45 minutes, so...assuming the fireworks are 30 minutes long (generous), then there should be plenty of time.

Thoughts?

My only thought is we were absolutely stuffed when we did the dessert party a few months ago. We're going back next week, and we don't have a dinner booked for the dessert party night. It's A LOT of food at the party -- savory items as well as dessert.

The star wars show is 12 minutes long, the walk will be about 30 to get to Japan. You'll have time, have fun

We aren't doing the dessert party. Just watching the fireworks. But good to know about the dessert party! I'll keep that in mind for my March trip, assuming they are still doing the fireworks then!

Thanks! Plenty of time :)

Oh sorry! Misread your post. I've been messing with my dining reservations all night and have dinner on the brain!

I would not say that the walk to Japan would be about 30 minutes.

If we are discussing "point-to-point" distance:

A. There is the time that it takes to exit DHS from the fireworks viewing area (along with the rest of the huge crowd doing the same thing.)
B. There is the walk from the gates of DHS over to the Epcot International Gateway.
C. Trip through Epcot security bag-check and entrance through the gate.
D. Walk from the IG past France and Morocco to Japan.

Considering that there are various paces of walking, I'd say to expect the trek to take
between 45 and 60 minutes.
