Star Wars Cruises announced for next year

I'm curious to ask why you believe they might drop a port day? Were you sent something that indicated this? Our cruise has now turned into a SWDAS cruise too but I didn't see anywhere that indicated we might lose a port day.

Just curious...

The Western itinerary on the Fantasy traditionally has 4 port days & 2 sea days. For 2016 the SWDAS cruises were only on the western itineraries and they dropped Jamaica as a port. I emailed my TA to ask if she knew.

Hmm.....just went back and read the thread about the announcement for this year's cruises. It seems Jamaica was never there to begin with and wasn't dropped. Blah....was hoping for another sea day.

We love our sea days too which is part of the reason we chose the Eastern itinerary in February. Sea days are the best...at least for our family. :)

We are on the 2/4/17 cruise...on my reservation page it identifies it as a Star Wars Day at Sea cruise but still shows all four ports of call, including Jamaica. It would be fine with me if we skipped it...I'll just spend too much money and drink too much rum at Margaritaville anyway, but all ports are still on the itinerary. What's even more interesting is the price for 2 in a 5D verandah stateroom has jumped $1300 since we booked our reservation. Now i have to go find the light sabres.

I hope they don't drop Jamaica. That's the one port we haven't been to.

Was on the first one in Jan this year, not impressed at all.
Would have preferred not to be, wasn't impressed re Pirates night, servers were not dressed for it, the party was inside cause it rained, way too crowded and noisy.
Naturally thought they would be dressed for Star Wars Night, nup , they only wore a star wars badge, had a fancy menu to look at.
Not worth the cost imho, just had a look for next years prices, holy crap, so expensive, over $1300 more already than what we paid this year and I can imagine only going to keep going up.
If I ever did another Disney cruise it definitely wouldn't be a swdas one, the price for these cruises are not worth it.

I was excited to see our cruise on 2/4/17 is changed to SWDAS! I noticed our room went up about $1500. Glad I booked when dates were released! Whew! I haven't noticed anything that they are dropping a port

I couldn't find exact dates. I suppose that the New Year's Eve cruise won't be included? It leaves Dec. 31st.

I was booked this past Feb., but we had to cancel for work reasons. I am glad I will g

I wonder if DCL will just make these dates permanent SWDAS cruises so that people don't just start booking the likely dates for SWDAS, locking in the pre-announcement price, and avoiding the upcharge when SWDAS dates are announced. Which is exactly what I did. :teeth:
