Any comments on the Season Premiers last night?

Are they going for a darker side on Star Trek and did they re-record the theme song??

Also any thoughts on Jake 2.0? I think this may be an interesting show.

I think Enterprise is going for the more "action and adventure" theme. Yes they did re-record the theme song, it's livlier and faster. Interesting tid-bit, my son went on line to find the original verision to compare and found a verision recorded by Rod Stewart.

Jake 2.0 does look promising. I always liked the kid starring in it when he was on Popular. It's a tough time slot though, they are up agains West Wing and Angel.

Looks like they are stepping up both the action and gratuitous sex on this season. Did they really need the massage scene?

On the plus side, any show with a character with the last name Hayes can't be all that bad. :teeth:

I haven't watched it yet, but had a friend record it for me last night.

I thought there were enough unneeded massage scenes last season. There will be more??

And why does getting out of the Vulcan High Command mean that Ta-pol gets to wear a uniform that out does 7 of 9. And for a Vulcan no less seems like fashion sense would be a bit emotional.

I guess that her supply of Vulcan hair gel (and other grooming products) was cut off when she retired. :teeth:

I guess this is another attempt for that all important 17-35 male demographic that everyone always talks about? what about all us over 50 crowd who have been trekers since the franchise began. What happened to the clout the baby boomers were suppose to have?

Is the demographic that old? I thought eye candy like Seven of Nine was added for 12-18 year old boys.

I never did care for Voyager anyway, but I loved DS9!

I'll reserved judgement on the episode until I've actually watched it, but making too many changes in the second season of any series is always a sign of problems.

Seaquest started out pretty good....

This is the third season. I liked the massage scene, its just as gratuitous as the violence, so why does everyone accept that? Its just a chance to get Trip and T'Pol together like they have been hinting at since season one.

I like the idea of the council of evil, as long as they don't go to the superfriends route.

Good grief, what was I thinking?! I'm a regular viewer, but obviously forget easily. Now that I think back on the first season cliff hanger, I am hanging my head in shame.

I better quit reading this thread until I watch....

I didn't mind the massage scene and I'm a 50+ woman. I thought it was pretty funny actually although I had to keep hitting my 70+ yo husband when she took off her shirt!

ST Voyager was my favorite of all the ST's. The Doctor! What a great part that was. I enjoy this one more each year. The cast seems to be getting it together and it's developing an easier flow then it had the first season and most of the second.

T'pol is my favorite character with Dr. Flox coming in a close second. I'd like to see them get a few more strong supporting people on board. Maybe one of two of the military guys who are on Enterprise for this mission will be a stand out.

Like Major Hayes? :teeth:

For all you hard core trekkers out there, you may recall that in Picard's time, there is an Admiral Hayes who led the federation forces at Wolf 359. I wonder if the Major and Admiral are related. Hmmm.
