Star Tours still an FP attraction?

Sorry if this has been addressed before, but I couldn't find anything on it with a search. The touringplans.com site notes in its corrections to the most recent Unofficial Guide that Star Tours is no longer a Fastpass attraction, but the WDW website and allearsnet.com suggest otherwise. Does anyone have the inside scoop on this? Many thanks in advance.

I hope it's not true because I planned on getting a FP for this ride after the parade, yikes. I went to the Passporter site and there are no updates regarding this.

1) The WDW website still lists it as Fast Pass.
2) It was Fast Pass when we were there in February.
. . . the Fast Pass machines were up
. . . we visited early in the day, so they didn't issue FP's yet

Thanks, everyone. The members-only touring plans on the Unofficial Guide site still list it as an FP attraction in spite of their contradictory info elsewhere, so I'm going to assume it still uses FP. Good luck to all with this!

We were there last week and it was still a FP attraction, although we didn't need to use it. The longest wait we experienced was 10 mins. Even during the Friday of the first Star Wars weekend, it was a walk on. I think that was because everyone was lined up trying to buy Star Wars merchandise instead of doing the ride.

It was FastPass when we went two weeks ago but we walked right on and the stand-by line never reached over a 5 minute wait! :cool1:

This ride only had a 10 minute wait when we went i was so shocked, i thought this was still a major draw at MGM. i'd use fp's for rock n roller coaster and tower of terror instead.

Hardly ever should you waste your time getting a FP for Star Tours. The wait is really never that bad that you'd need it.

That is unless it's a Star Wars Weekend!

We FP'ed Star Tours last Sunday as the wait was 45 minutes.

Slightly OT here, but how intense is Star Tours? We skipped it last year, but DS6 is really into Star Wars right now so it might be something we look to ride this time around.

Its hardly intense at all. After riding back to the future at universal it was a breeze!!! It doesn't bang you around too much, you should be a ok :) I thought it wasn't that bad.

Thanks cheerdancer. I'm not much of a motion simulator lover, but I will give it a shot for the menfolk of the family LOL. Glad to hear there isn't much of a line either. That makes it an extra priority :)

It's pretty tame by most people's standards. If you're really concerned, ride in the front row; it's the best row for those not looking to lose their lunch.
