Ea anyone have any info on where to sit so that you get selected as the "rebel spy"? I am going with my best friend who hasn't been in a while and I would love to put him in that seat. He would get a kick out of it.

When you sit down upon entering the ride do not put your glasses on. Buckle up right away, face straight ahead, don't make any faces and stay still until they tell you to put the glasses on. I read that tip on here and it has worked every time! I heard that it does not matter where you sit, but for what its worth we always sit in the back row (just our personal favorite).

Yup...that is correct. DO NOT put your glasses on and look forwards towards the screen.

Ever sit there for what seemed like a long while?...they are trying to find a usable person otherwise they have a throw away default if they can't get a decent pic.

I had someone in our group be the Rebel Spy 4 outta 5 times on the ride over several days!

I read that tip on this site before our last trip, and my DS and DH were both chosen as the rebel spy! It really works!

Interesting. I had never read that trick.

We went last August and my son got picked as the RS. He didn't put his glasses on right away because he didn't like that too much, so maybe that's why.

My DW has been the spy twice, both random seats. Next time I go, I will sit as still as a statue.

I'm definitely trying this! I would LOVE to be the spy!

I always ride solo because it makes my DF sick, so I often end up at the very end of a row. I thought that's why I'd never been picked.

The CM loading you into the Star Speeder is the one that chooses the Rebel Spy, so it doesn't hurt your chances to strike up a nice conversation with them.

Yes, as you are loading there is a panel on the left of the doors near the controls. Under it is a touch screen which the CM uses to select the spy. When it was my DS's birthday I caught their eye and pointed to DS. he got to be the spy twice that day much to the annoyance of DD
