Hi! I know in June the fast passes were out for the day by like 9:30 or 10. What about now? I am trying to figure if I get there ASAP after rope drop...how long will the return window be?

Thanks!!!
Nancy

We went on Sunday at Rope Drop (8 AM) and the fastpasses were for 9:05 AM. But when we went by later (it was before 2:30) the fastpasses were gone. Sorry, I don't know how early in the day they ran out, but you should have no problem if you are close to rope drop.

It wasn't the crazy rush we thought it would be, but then again, the whole park was pretty light first thing that morning.

Well, if you believe MouseWait, which tends to be fairly accurate, the current wait time for Star Tours at this very moment is 90 minutes and there have been NO fastpasses available since 11:44am.

Sorry, my memory isn't great. We were just there this weekend. Got my FP's at about 8:20 am, this was on a Magic Morning when I didn't have any magic. LOL. My return time was around 10:30 am. I know it was after 10am because I was disappointed that it ruined my plans to go to CA at 10am. So, yes, you need to go after rope drop and get your FP. I sent DD to ride Buzz while I waited in the FP line. We got finished about the same time.

Now, on my magic morning, I was in line for FP at 7:50 and I got one right away, with a good return time, but I can't recall what it was, closer to 9am.

We went last week Monday through Friday. Everyday we got to the gate a little before 8am. We usually ended up at rope drop a little ways back. We were not first and that was ok. Each day we were able to get 2 Star Tours FPs a day. We walked over the FP line first thing. On non MMs we were able to get a return time of about 8:40 to 9am. (We then rode Buzz a couple times while it was walk on) Then at the return time we were ready to get a second FP for ST which usually said about 2:30-3pm. Of course, by the time we were allowed to get another FP, they were long gone so our third FP of the day was Space. These run out early too as people realize they can no longer get a ST FP, they head over to SM. By the next time we could get a FP those were gone.

On MM, we were still able to get two FPs a day but the times were a little later on them. Roughly 9:30-10am and then about 4pm for the second one. We never rode ST or SM without a FP. One morning SM said 10 min wait so we went in Standby and got up to the to to discover the line was very long up there. We decided there was no way that was 10 min and we turned around and went back. When we looked at the sign it 45 min!

Anyway, the upshot is, on MMs and Non MMs, you don't have stress and rush to get ST FPs. Just walk with purpose directly there first and then be ready to pick up the second one as soon as your window opens.

Thanks for the info!! I am doing a surprise trip for the kids! We usually go once a year but we spent a week at WDW in Feb...so I said the next DL trip wouldn't e until summer 2012.....as if I could wait that long!

We were there last week too and found it quite easy to just get on the ride at rope drop....We were not up front, but just walked along with everyone else on the right hand side of Main St. straight into the line, and each time it took about 15 to 20 min. and we were on the ride...then we would get fps when we got off for around 11 return time, I believe.

We went recently, and the FPs go very quickly.

We got FPs, then our friends got them about 10 minutes later. Their time was about 90 minutes after ours.

I was there both Saturday and Sunday last weekend. Fastpasses for Star Tours were available even after Noon, but for not much longer. We're not morning people, so even the idea of "get there at rope drop" is a near impossibility for us :rotfl2:

On Saturday we picked up Fastpasses at 11:55am with a return window of 9:15pm. On Sunday, we picked up our first set of Fastpasses at 8:50am (return at 11:20am) and our second set at 11:50am (return at 8:45pm). So, they're not running out of Fastpasses as quickly as they were back in June. But if you do pick them up later in the morning, your return time will be late into the evening.

We were there last weekend. We went in at 9:00 and our return window was between 1 & 2 on Saturday. We went in on Sunday at about 9:45 and the return window was between 4 & 5.

The shortest posted wait we saw was 45 minutes, that was at 9:00. The longest we saw was 85 minutes, that was Saturday evening.
